It was so lovely 🥰 I’m not comfortable with a lot of attention so we wanted to keep it small. Including us there were eight people in attendance and we had the ceremony in our garden. Everything was very pretty 😍 We also had our brothers as our best men.

For dinner, we hired a chef to cook in our kitchen a full 3 courses plus cheese platter. The food was delicious! And our wedding cake had this cute little topper made by my mother in law of us and our two cats.

I know some of you are around my age (I’m 39), a lot of you are probably younger based on the content I’m seeing, but I’m wondering if anyone else my age is struggling with the same issues with fandom.

Basically I feel disconnected from it all and am struggling to engage again. Fandom has been such a huge part of my life (and I still want it to be) since I was a teenager. I’ve written fic, edited music videos, made gifs, created communities and written a fair bit of meta (is it even called that anymore? Lol).

Life has gotten busy, rona happened and the fandom community in general seems so disconnected and dependent on social media algorithms, that connections seem difficult to maintain. There are also a lot more shows to get into, this is not necessarily a bad thing, but I find scarcity helps fandom become more creative.

Does anyone have any good alternatives to Photoshop that aren’t as costly?
