Unfortunately I don't have a spotify. I listen music only on youtube or radio. Aaaaand for the last couple of days I've been pretty much stuck on a loop listening to Hazbin Hotel soundtracks. Aaaaand otherwise what I listen to depends entirely on the mood I want to be in.

Buuut, I know you follow me because you're a fan of SITHOF , so I put together a sithof inspiration playlist instead. When I write, I tend to listen to some type of ambience, but there are usually songs that inspire and influence how I write characters, scenes, or just vibes for any fic of mine. (and if anyone wants to know about my invader zim or hellaverse or owl house inspo songs, feel free to ask)

Anyway. Myrtle Warren and Eileen Prince were girlfriends. A ravenclaw once caught them being intimate in the girls bathroom and from that day on, people started whispering and tittering about “moaning Myrtle”.

As always, I will take this moment to talk about SITHOF, instead of actually writing it. But here, have a snippet from one of my favourite scenes I’m very exicted to finally get to.

“Is Petunia your sister then?” Narcissa asked with the practice of someone who had learned to divert conversations at formal events before she had learned much anything else. Also, here in the middle of nowhere, it was easy for Narcissa to forget that Lily was not a pure-blood and that there should be no common ground for discussion between them. Especially since Narcissa found herself enjoying the quiet conversation with the other girl so easily.

“Yeah. My older sister. She’s not magical. We used to be really close, but these days she never does anything but talk shit behind my back and call me names when I visit home.”

How very muggle of her, Narcissa felt that she should have said, but instead she ended up saying: “I’m sorry, that is awful.”

I did say that next chapter would be up in day or two. And here it is. 

The powerlessness of the situation hit Severus like a sword, as Potter’s rambling word-vomit finally tapered into expectant silence.

James Potter was standing in front of him, earnest and eager to please.

His tormentor who had used him as a thing to amuse himself, for years.

Here was potter, with a smile of indulgence for his former self, and here Severus, overcome with shame, just for the reminder of the bullying that Potter had put him through. Yet, he hadn’t been the one hurting others, just for the fun of it all; Potter was the one who had done it. Why then was Severus the one who had to feel the terrible pangs of shame, why should Potter go free? Potter’s was the freedom of the strong, Severus’ was the shame of the weak. The shame of those who had to live according to the whims of those like Potter.

He hated Potter. It seemed very unjust that an experience so humiliating to Severus hadn’t touched Potter at all.

That was the difference between the powerful and the powerless. James was shopping for a new identity, and he would be allowed to get one. One that suited his new-found sensibilities better. From now on, he would look back at his bullying childhood-self with distaste, and he would be praised for it. Meanwhile there was Severus, the one whose identity had been broken and then reshaped by James Potter, and would forever, for the rest of his life, live with that identity. The identity that would hear laughter and feel a flush of fear, who would look at every smile with a suspicion that they were built on his shame.
