What Charleigh has a hard time sharing Harry when sheâs younger with the fans and sometimes the other boys so she throws tantrums here and there
Drabble Request
A/N: So I didnât want to make this too similar to another two year old tantrum one I did, so itâs not as angsty as I was originally going to make it!

Singledadrry x Charleigh - Age 3
ââââââ
Two year old tour tantrums.
No one prepared Harry for that part...or the other boys for that matter!
"Come on Angel, we need to do a meet and greet so you're going to have to stay here with Auntie Lou and Baby Lux..." Harry whispers softly to Charleigh.
They were a week into their new tour, and Charleigh's routine had been well and truly thrown off. She had never been so clingy to Harry, he couldn't even go to the bathroom anymore without her having a meltdown.
"No Daddy stay here!" She cries loudly. Ah shit. She was about to scream bloody murder.
"Darling remember we were talking about Daddy's fans..." He reminded her gently. "Daddy has to go and work so you need to stay here and be safe"
"DADDY NO!" She shrieks, her hands balling his shirt in her tiny fists, her face scrunching as she begins to sob heavily and loudly into his neck. Fresh tears rolling down her red cheeks.
"Hey stop this now...come on that's enough..." He whispers, sighing tiredly. Her small arms clung round his neck as he held her closely. Her head buried into his shoulder and her sad eyes peering around at the other boys getting ready.
âBaby girl I need to get ready...come on my little Cherryâ He whispers, brushing her hair off of her face and rubbing her back softly. Gentle whines left her mouth as she began to sob again, her head buried into his shoulder.Â
âNo! Daddy donât go!â She chokes out on her tears.
âListen to me...shhhh. We need tâcalm down now okay? Iâm going to be right here, just where you can see me...â
âHey bug, look whatâs this!â Louis comes over, holding her bunny teddy in his hands. She whimpers sadly, her head resting tiredly on Harryâs shoulder.
âShall we go and sit down next to Daddy and watch some Disney?â He offers softly, half expecting her to start screaming the place down.
She whines gently but stretches her arms out to Louis. Harry thanked him quietly and sat down in the hair and makeup chair. Louis sat in the seat beside him, rocking Charleigh on his lap as he pressed play on his phone.Â
âDaddy jumper...â Charleigh muttered, Harry let out a gentle sigh, pulling off his jumper and handing it to Charleigh. She cuddled into her bunny teddy and Harryâs jumper while watching a film on Louisâ phone.
Once Charleigh had calmed down, and the boys had to go to meet the fans, Louis carried Charleigh into the crew corner of the room. There were a few sofas, desks and chairs, for crew to stay incase something needed doing, but out of the way from the fans.Â
Louis carried Charleigh onto the sofa, laying her next to Lou and Lux. Charleigh still had Harryâs hoodie and her bunny stuffed under her arm, while Harry brought over his phone for Charleigh to watch another film.
Charleigh looked around tiredly, the room filling with a buzz of people.
âAuntie Lou...â Charleigh muttered softly, her eyes latching onto Harry from across the room.
âYes sweetie?â She asks, stroking her hair softly.Â
âWho are all these people?â She looked around confused. Half of them seemed very very happy.
âItâs some of the fans Char...and they have their Mummies with them.â She explains softly, making a cute braid in Charleighâs hair.

Drabble request. Charleigh faints. So basically she and Harry are out and about somewhere just like some daddy-daughter time and suddenly thereâs a rush. Fans and so many of them. Apparently they somehow got to know that Harry is out and so they get mobbed like majorly.
So like char has been feeling a bit faint for the past few days due to tour, online classes and tests, and like sheâs been eating less too due to stress and also sheâs miserable because well she wants to go live in London but Harry wonât let that happen. So they get mobbed and she faints and Harryâs looses his shit because we all know how protective he is and heâs panicking and is so worried and they go tu the hospital and all and doc tells him sheâs not been taking care of herself.

Warnings: Hospital, fainting, mentions of hospital needles, lack of eating.
ââââââ
So many faces. So much noise. So many hands. So much screaming.
That was the last thing Charleigh remembered. One minute she was walking out of the radio studio with her Dad, the next minute it was all so dark.
The North American leg of the tour was coming to an end and the last few weeks, she had been touring, working, doing online classes for school, travelling and submitting her essays. She hadn't been sleeping well the last week and she was getting more anxious as her deadlines were approaching.
She couldn't remember the last time she ate, even though Harry is always making sure she gets proper meals cooked for her, it doesn't mean she eats them.
It all happened so quickly, they had come out from the studio and they were surrounded before they could even reach the car. There was no warning from the building's security, and Harry hadn't bothered to bring security today as they were only going from the radio studio to the car, to the arena. That was his biggest mistake.
"Charleigh?!" Harry panics as he watched Charleigh fall. At first he thought she was pulled down, but it all happened in slow motion. There was a barrier of people between them, and he was struggling to get through the press to get to his daughter.
"Hey get back!" Harry's voice boomed instantly, there were fans and press surrounding them. Camera flashes and voices shouting as they hovered over Charleigh's limp body laying on the floor.
Harry rushed to Charleigh beside him. "Char...Charleigh it's me. Wake up!" He rolls her over to her side. "Come on darling...wake up for me" He had to keep raising his voice if he wanted any attempt to wake her up. He was scared, why would she faint? Was she hurt? Was she in pain?
He looked up to see more camera's flashing over Charleigh, no one bothering to help.
"If you aren't going to help then get out the way!" Harry yells, anger seething through his veins. Luckily, the building's security had rushed out to disperse the crowd, while someone else phoned an ambulance.
ââââââ
Harry sat in a chair beside Charleigh's bed. His eyes were red and tired, puffy from letting out his emotions. They arrived at the hospital half an hour ago, Harry had made the instant decision to reschedule tonightâs show. Of course he felt bad about it, but Charleigh always came first, and there was no way he was going to leave her side.
âMr Styles? Hi, Iâm Dr Ryan, Iâm the doctor in charge of the ER Department today. Nice to meet youâ He offers a handshake.
Harry stands up quickly and shakes his hand. âHi. Nice to meet you too. How is she doing? Do we...do you know what the cause was?â Harry asked worriedly, he wanted answers, but he was scared to know them.
âWell, weâve done a CT scan head to toe, thereâs nothing life threatening as we know. No internal issues that flared up. Weâve done a few blood tests and thereâs a few things we were wondering...howâs she been with eating, sleeping and keeping hydrated?â
âWell...we travel a lot but weâre in a pretty easy routine, I make sure she gets cooked meals even when weâre on tour and...I...well I donât see her 24/7 but I think she...I-I donât knowâ He frowns. He was her Dad, how did he not know?
Getting to the end of the tour, he knew she was getting tired, but she had a lot of deadlines to be finishing the last week, so she had been focusing more on those than out exploring cityâs or hanging out with her Dad.
âShit...fuck. I should know thisâ Harry groans as he ran a hand through his hair, pacing the room back and forth.
âMr Styles, you wouldnât necessarily know...this isnât something to blame yourself for. We will put her on an IV drip, and that should get some nutrients in her. When she wakes, we can have a chat with her then. Iâll be right backâ The doctor explains and leaves to get the IV drip.
Harry frowned, looking over at Charleigh and he takes his seat beside her. It could be a while til she wakes. He sighed heavily and took her hand into both of his.
âHi Angel...itâs just me...â He whispers. She looked so peaceful, so quiet and comfortable while she sleeps. She looked like she hadnât slept in days. âMy little Cherry...why didnât you talk to me?â He frowns, stroking her hair gently as his eyes fill with tears. âI should of noticed...I could of helped to avoid all this...â He mumbles softly.
âI know you hate being in hospitals...but Iâm staying here. Mânot leaving your side...especially here. Now, theyâre going to have to put a needle in your arm to get the canula in for your IV, get some good shit in you...and Iâm glad youâre asleep for this, because I know youâre not good with needles...but this way you wonât feel it....â He whispers calmly against her forehead. âIâll be here holding your hand the whole time...â He mumbles, pressing a kiss to her forehead.
âI love you my little Cherry...always my little Cherry...â
---
Charleigh stirred hours later, the bags under her eyes has gone down from her well needed rest, and the IV drip had put some colour into her cheeks.
Harryâs eyes shot open as he sat up, his hand still tightly attached to hers.
She rubbed her blurry eyes and jumped slightly, hearing the beeping of the heart rate monitor and a tube attached to her arm, fear flooding her eyes.
âHey baby...shhhh itâs alright, Iâm here darling...â He whispers, stroking her hair gently.
âD-dad...â She looked around confused, his eyes were sad yet relieved. âW-what happened?â
âBaby, you fainted...â He whispered. âTake a minute to wake up and we will talk ok?â He hushes her as she sat up slowly, her head rushing.
âCharleigh...sweetie...I know youâve been tired and doing a lot of catching up for your school work, but I need you to be honest with me now alright...â
She looks up at him with wide eyes, gulping down the dry lump in her throat.
âHave you been eating properly...and drinking enough?â She instantly had a guilty look in her eyes as she lowered her gaze to her lap.
âI...I just forget sometimes...â
âChar, you need to be honest with meâ He was soft, yet firm. âYou donât just forget. You never forget to eat, especially when we are on tour, you love exploring and trying new thingsâ
She felt tears fill her eyes as one slips out. âIâm sorry...i-it just gets hard sometimesâ She whimpers and covers her face with her hands. Harryâs arms instantly wrapped around her body tightly.
âTalk tâme...we can work it outâ He mumbles against her hair.
âWe canât...I-I want to go homeâ She cries sadly into his shoulder, it had been a little while since she cried in front of someone.
Harry frowns, pulling his head back to look at her, with confusion and concern.
âWe have a week left of tour darling...then we can be back in LA for a few weeks while the rest of the tour dates get sorted and-â
âNo Dad! I want to go home to London. I-I donât want to go back to LAâ She sobs, her heart felt heavy and her brain felt muddled.
âO-oh...â He whispers, frowning. She looked so sad and so confused. âBaby, please tell me whatâs going on...â
âIâm tired Dad. Iâm so tired and I just feel so...so miserableâ She whimpers, her grip tightening around her Dad, the only place she ever truly felt safe.Â
he didnât say anything. He didnât know what to say, but he understood. He rocked her slowly, rubbing her back to calm her down. âI understand...Iâll sort it on one condition...â
âW-what?â She hiccups slightly.
âWe find some help for you, someone back home for you to talk to...and I need you to make sure youâre eating and drinking...you worried me so muchâ He frowns. âOnce this part of tour is finished and weâre done here, weâll go back to London, and once we have sorted the rest of the tour, we can see what is best to do at the time if you really, really donât want to come on tour again ok?â His heart broke slightly at the thought of her not joining him on another tour. He only ever knew tour life with her.
She sniffled and buried her head into his chest, she gave him a gentle nod and stayed cuddled into his chest tightly, like she was a seven year old again. âItâs not that I donât want to be on tour...I do love being on tour I just...Itâs so hard with school and...and all my friends are turning 18 and they can go out and...and just be normal 17/18 year olds. And itâs different here in America, you have to wait til youâre 21...and I have more friends in London. Iâm so grateful to have this life and to experience all of this, but sometimes I just...wish I could still experience other things like my friendsâ She sniffles, wiping her cheeks with the back of her hand.
It was going to get better. Harry would be sure of it.
Soo this is a blurbie request for single dadrry because am a sucker for your blurbs. Could you maybe write one where she gets lost, like sheâs little and she gets lost and Harryâs panicked and all because well âhe almost lost her onceâ ;) please please pweaseeeeee *puppy dog eyes*

Charleigh - Age 4
ââââââ
It was a rare day off, and whilst in New York on the One Direction Tour, Harry had decided to take some time out for just him and Charleigh.
Charleigh fell in love with bright lights and big features of every town and city she visited. During the night time flights, she would stare out the window in awe at the tiny flickering lights below her. She really was on top of the world.
Harry held Charleigh's hand tightly as he led her through Coney Island. She couldn't keep her eyes in one place, every fast ride, bright light and merry go round was fascinating her.
"Daddy look!" She squeals, pointing to the big wheel.
"You want to go on there Cherry?" He smiles widely, beaming at her excitement.
"Please Daddy! Please!" She gasps, holding her tiny hand in his as she began to run. "Hey slow down pet, we have so much time..." He chuckles as they head for the queue. Charleigh's eyes were wandering around, the buzz from the other people, the sweetest smells lingering and the happiness in the air was so heavy. The noise was loud but she didn't seem to mind.
"Daddy can we go on the Merry Go round?" She asks, seeing it from the other side of the Island.
Harry was adjusting his jeans to bed down and do up his loose shoelaces. "Yeah...after this one bug" He mumbled softly, holding the Big Wheel tickets between his teeth.
But all Charleigh heard was 'Yeah'...so off she went, skipping happily round the corner, out of Harry's sight within seconds while his eyes were focusing on doing up his laces.
He stood up and went take Charleigh's hand again, but she was gone.
"Charleigh?" He frowns, looking around him, expecting her to be hiding behind him ready to scare him. Sheer panic engulfed every inch of him. "Charleigh?" He calls out. His eyes scanned intensely as he rushed out of the queue. Where would she have gone?!
There was a large sign in the middle 'Merry Go Round This Way' Bingo.
Harry felt his eyes brim with tears, quickly wiping them with the back of his hand and intensely looking to find her. "Charleigh...? Charleigh where are you?!" He calls out desperately.
Harry couldn't bare the thought of not having Charleigh around. If something bad was to ever happen to her, he could never forgive himself. He still hadn't forgiven himself from the incident nearly 4 years ago.
"Charleigh?!" He groans in frustration. How could he be so careless?!
"Daddy!!" Harry heard a loud shriek, his heart beat quickened, all he could hear was his own heartbeat and Charleigh's cries.
"I can't find my Daddy" Charleigh cried loudly, heavy sobs leaving her mouth as she approached a pretty lady with long brown hair, and carnival badges down her jacket. She was holding strings of balloons in one hand.
"What's your name sweetie?" The kind lady asked her. "C-Char-Charleigh" She sobs, her face red and her hands clammy.
"Charleigh?!" Harry rushed over, his heart breaking yet so full of relief. His arms swipe her up and held her at his chest. "Oh my god...oh my god you're safe. It's okay...I'm here my Angel..." He closes his eyes, holding her so tight and repeatedly kissing her head over and over again.
"D-Daddy" She cries sadly into his shoulder, her arms tight round his neck.
"Why on earth did you run off? That's not safe!"
"I-I...t-thought you w-were next to m-me" She hiccups, sniffling sadly and looking down with guilty eyes.
He wanted to be stern. He tried to be stern, but his words came out as more if a plea. "Please never never ever do that to me again Cherry. I was so scared...shit I thought I lost you again"
It was a Sunday afternoon, a week before Christmas and as a yearly tradition, Harry and the One Direction boys would have a mini pre-Christmas.
They had a big dinner, played with Charleigh and had films on, opened presents and spent usually a whole weekend together. This year was the same, except no Zayn.
Being a 21 year old single parent to a 4 year old, especially during tour life was tough, but the boys and the tour crew were always an incredible help as she had never really had her mum around, especially this year more than ever.
âCome on my little Cherry, Sarah has given me a huge shopping list and this close to Christmas it will be packed!â He says, bringing her coat and shoes over, picking her up from her toys and pulling her shoes on as quick as possible and wrapping her up her little red riding hood coat and a white scarf.
He bundles her into the car and rushed to the shop. âDaddy, can we get some sweeties?â
âHm, if youâre good. But your uncles always bring you sweets and theyâll be over later on, theyâll be there before we are home I bet!â He chuckles, managing to squeeze into a parent/child parking bay. The car park was rammed and he knew inside it would be worse.
He carried her on his hip and slipped her into the seat of the trolley before pulling up the shopping list on his phone.
âDaddy I want to play on your phone pleaseâ She makes grabby hands, her curly hair tucked into a messy bun. âNot today flower, daddy needs it to get the shopping listâ He tells her as she lets out a gentle whine.
âI want it!â She whines louder as he wandered up and down the aisles. âLater Cherry. If I have to tell you again, you wonât get any sweets okay?â
She huffs and stares grumpily around the shelves. âDaddy! Beer!â She points, her eyes widening.
âExcuse me?â He chuckles softly and looks in the direction of her finger.
âYou and uncle Ni and LiLi and Lou always drink thisâ he laughs and smiles. âYeah I think Lou is bringing beerâ
He wanders around the shop. âDaddy I get out now?â She hums softly and pushes herself up.
âNo darling. Itâs too busyâ he mutters, stroking her hair.
âNo Daddy. Out now!â She shouts.
âCharleigh Reign. You do not shout at me pleaseâ he says quietly but sternly.
She sulks quietly in her chair and crosses her arms as Harry unloads the mass of shopping onto the conveyor belt, chatting away to the friendly cashier as he bags everything up once he gets it at the other end. ÂŁ163 later, Harry was pushing all the bags and Charleigh in the trolley and to the car.
Harry gets the bags into the boot quickly, before Harry wheeled the trolley to the line of them, picking Charleigh up and lifting her out the trolley before sliding it back into the previous trolley.
âDaddy I can walk!â She whines loudly.
âOkay, but you have to hold my hand please. Itâs very busyâ he holds her hand tightly and walks her to the car.
âNana??â She gasps, her eyes widening and her small legs rush over to a woman getting out her car. Harry gasped, she began to run so fast. âCharleigh!!â He shouts, rushing after her and grabbing her arm, pulling her closely to his side. Thankfully, there were no cars coming.
âCharleigh Reign Styles! I have told you many, many times that you do not run into roads! Thatâs so dangerous! You could have gotten very hurt poppet!â Harry tells her sternly but not shouting.
He had to make sure she understood the severity of her actions. She let out a wail of a cry. âI-IâŚsawâŚsaw Nana!â She cries and points to a woman with shoulder length brown hair, a similar height and build as his mum.
âCherry thatâs not Nana. We will see her next week ok?â He sighs. âBut Iâd like you to apologise for running off into the road pleaseâ he sighs, getting her into the car.
âNo!â She mutters. âLovie, I nearly lost you once, I donât ever want to do that againâ He strokes her cheek sweetly.
She sulks her head low and gets into the car to drive back home. The boys were in their cars on the drive, an overnight bag over each of their shoulders and waiting for Harry to get back. They come over, greeting Harry and help with the bags out the boot.
âCome on baby girl letâs get you insideâ Harry opens her door and goes to unclip her car seat.
âNo! Not Daddy!â She shouts with a firm pout. âCharleigh come on. Youâve been having tantrums all day sweetieâ Harry pleads with her.
âHey bug!â Louis appears behind Harry. âUncle Loulou! Get me out! Please!â She cries, making grabby hands to him as Harry goes to unlock the door.
âCome on troubleâ Louis unclips her and lifts her out, carrying her indoors as she sulks silently into his shoulder. âWhatâs up with you huh?â Louis tickles her belly as she shyâs away.
âDaddy shouted at meâ she mutters. âAnd why did he need to do that bug?â
âShe ran into the busy car park roadâ he sighs, while putting the shopping away with the others.
âWell thatâs because thatâs really dangerousâ Louis frowns softly. âDonât want you to get hurt do weâ
She shakes her head softly. âNow are you going to apologise to Daddy? Then Iâll get you some sweetsâ he whispers with a grin.
âDaddy, Iâm very sorryâ she runs up to him and hugs his leg tightly.
âThank you for apologising my little Cherryâ Harry sighs and kisses her head lovingly.
Hi love! What if Charleigh (Age 17) breaks a leg or something and has it in a cast, Harry carries her around being the over protective dad he is, and signs in her cast saying no matter how grown up she is he'll always be the first one to write on it, and he'll write something like 'get well soon my little Cherry' on it. Then they're both walking on the streets, meets some fans, one of them being mean to Charleigh and tries to push her down. She's already hurt and Harry isn't taking any of it!
Masterlist's
I haven't proof read this yet, please forgive me!
---
"Dad! That's not fair! You can't write anything on the bottom of my foot! I can't read it!" She whines, pouting and groaning softly.
Harry let out a chuckle as he sat with a sharpie in hand, Charleigh's broken foot was propped up on the coffee table with a cushion, Harry sat on floor at the end of her foot.
"What are you putting on there anyway?! I swear Dad, if it's a penis I will never forgive you!" She laughs.
"Shush! I'm a classy man!" He grins, his tongue stuck out in concentration as he drew a photo of a cherry.
"Yeah right! You wrote a song about a female or-"
"Hush child!" He furrows his brows, then writing on the front of the cast.
"Oh god here we go" She sighs.
'Get well soon my little Cherry - Dad x'
"Is it still sore?" He frowns softly.
"Not sore, but it aches and it feels weird" She frowns. Charleigh had never been in a cast in her life. "I hate this already, how am I going to go to the kitchen for food or go for a wee or go upstairs to bed?! I can't get a pedicure for 6 weeks!"
"You do have crutches darling, you're not chained to the sofa" He chuckles.
"Have you seen our stairs?! They're a death trap in heels, let alone crutches!"
"Well I'll just have to carry you up the stairs. You can bum shuffle down" He teases.
"Yeah right old man! You're not that strong!"
"Wow, a broken bone sure makes you more crabby! It's going to be a long six weeks" Harry chuckles, heading into the kitchen to get the ice cream.
Six Weeks Later
"How does it feel now it's off?!" Harry smiles as Charleigh emerged from the bathroom.
âWeird! But so much better now Iâve had a shower, the skin is really dry thoughâ She frowns.
âWell, why donât we go for a slow walk around the park and then after, we can go and get you into the nail shop, you can have your long-awaited pedicureâ He chuckles.
She smiles and nods happily. âI missed going for walks with youâ
She gently put her shoe on and wrapped herself up in her coat, and sunglasses. Charleigh linked her arm to her Dadâs as they headed out down the street, towards the heath.
The walk was calm and quiet, they walked slow and luckily there werenât many people around, apart from the local elderly people who always said hello, mentioning Charleigh finally being out of her cast.
The view from the heath was beautiful and fresh. It was a clear day and the beautiful scene of London graced the skyline.
âSo, tours coming up soon...still okay about going?â Harry asks softly as they sat on the bench at the top of the hill.
âOf course, why wouldnât I be?â She asks curiously, looking up at him.
âWell, youâre getting a bit older now and, youâll be 18 soon. I realise that weâve been touring your whole life, and I just wonder...well look I canât help but to realise that you probably wonât want to come on many tours now youâre a bit older.â Harry sighs softly, feeling a slight prang in his chest at the thought of Charleigh not wanting to join him on tour one day.
âDad, I love going on tour with you!â She frowns softly. âI know I whinge sometimes but, I really love doing it. Yeah, it sucks sometimes not seeing my friends and a load of travelling, but I...it wouldnât feel right not being on tour with youâ She rests her head gently on Harryâs shoulder as his lips curled into a smile.
âItâs good to have you with me, Cherryâ He wraps his arm around her shoulder tightly as she grins.
âItâs good to have you with me, Dadâ She nods.
After a short while of chatting, the pair left the heath and wandered to the nail salon, round the corner from their house. Charleigh and Harry were regulars here, so they were always greeted by a warm welcome.
They sat for an hour, getting spa pedicures and their nails tended to. The shop was quiet and relaxed, exactly what they needed. As they said goodbye and paid for their treatments, Charleigh began to feel the tiredness overtake her body.
âReady for home now darling? You look tired lovieâ He wraps his arm around Charleigh as they slowly head home.
âI havenât walked this much is weeksâ She yawns softly, rubbing her eyes slowly. They had done well to avoid being spotted by fans until now.
âOh my god itâs Harry and Charleigh!â A group of girls were heard squealing as they rushed around the road. Charleighâs shoulders tensed up, realising she couldnât walk as quick as usual. Harryâs grip tightened gently. âItâs okayâ He whispers, reassuring her quietly and greeting the fans politely.
They crowded quickly, clearly very over-excited.
âCan we have a photo?â
âPlease take a photo with us!â
âCan you sign this for me?â
âHarry take a photo!â
âOMG I canât believe itâs Harry!â
The crowd squealed as Charleigh took a step back, he signed, smiled, and took photos with everyone before excusing himself, as he walked back to Charleigh.
She was tired and her foot was really hurting, aching from the amount of movement and slight swelling. Charleigh felt nudge against her shoulder, causing her to stumble slightly.
âMy eyes were closed! Can we re-take the photo?!â One obnoxious girl grins.
âExcuse me. Iâm really sorry but I need to get my daughter home and I donât appreciate her being pushed, especially when sheâs just come out of a castâ He furrows his brow, keeping the annoyance at bay, but Charleigh could sense it. He held onto Charleigh closely, keeping her close to his side until they get into their security gate and muttering under his breath.
âIâm thankful for the fans but some of them have no respectâ He mutters, getting the key in the door to let them in. âNo spacial awarenessâ He frowns. âAre you okay?! You didnât fall did you?â
She shook her head slowly but with tears in her eyes. âIâm fine, my foot just hurts a bitâ She sniffles, as Harry instantly engulfs her into his arms.
âIâm sorry Cherryâ He frowns, pressing a gentle kiss to her head. âIâll run you a bath and then we can watch a film while you rest your foot okay?â
She wipes her eyes and nods softly. âSure, thanks Dadâ She whispers.

ââââââ
"This is hopeless Niall!" Charleigh groans in frustration, hitting her hands against the piano keys.
Niall was sat at the sofa, picking chords on his guitar, with his notebook in front of him and finishing off a song he wrote a few days ago. âHey now, câmon. Ya need to dig in deep Charâ He chuckles softly.Â
âEvery song tells itâs own story...you just need to work out what you want the story to sayâ
âI donât have a story...â She mumbles, staring at the blank notebook in front of her.
âEveryone had a story. Whether itâs good or bad. And every story has itâs own moralsâ Niall let out a gentle sigh and places his guitar back on the stand before puling a chair up beside Charleigh.
âWhat do you mean? What are morals?â Charleigh quizzed, confusion in her eyes.
âA moral is like...the lesson you learnt. Like the boy who cried wolf, he lied all tâtime, then when he was really in trouble, no one believed him. The moral there is; If you tell lies, people won't believe you when you do tell the truth.â
âWhat lessons have you learnt Char?â He questions.
She sat deep in her thoughts for a moment. âGiving second chances doesnât mean someone has changed...but Dad always sayâs itâs ok to make mistakes sometimes...â
âAnd how did you feel about that Chez?â Niall pushes the question softly.
âI donât really know...I never understood when I was younger. I didnât understand why she wasnât around when everyone else had their Mumâs...then when she was released from the Hospital all those years later...and Dad had told me what she did and how she had left me alone as a baby and set fire to the house, I was angry, Mumâs donât do that. But when the courts contacted us and said she wanted to have contact with me and she...she said she had changed. Said she was all better, I...I felt bad. And Dad told me he wouldnât stop me having contact if I wanted to...â She mumbled softly, sitting on the painful memories in her chest.
âThen I was mad at myself because I tried so hard to get to know her...and I thought I could trust her, but then she left again. I mean...I thought leaving me as a baby and trying to set the house on fire was bad enough...but then she left me at home on my own when I was 7 so she could get drunk. And I think that made me more angry, because I remember it...I got out of the burning building with no scars on my body...but I still have the scar from when I was 7âł
âYou still have it?â Niall questioned in surprise. Charleigh nodded and pulled her sleeve up, faint scars permanently embedded into her skin. âConsidering she she came home drunk at 2am, jumped because she saw me still awake and accidentally dropped a wine bottle on the kitchen side and it shattered over my arm..it doesnât look too bad. The incident never hurt as much as the memories do...â
âI begged Dad to let me spend the night at her house...he only let me because you guys needed to finish the album...â She mumbled, chuckling to herself.
âYour Dad never forgave himself for that you know...â Niall admitted.
âI know...â She whispers, she still felt guilty. âMaybe if I hadnât of begged him, everything would be so different now...But I know he never wanted me to resent him for not letting me see her.â She rambled quietly.
âCharleigh...thereâs only one person whoâs in the wrong here. And thatâs her.â Niall frowns firmly. âNot you, not your Dad. Just her. Your Dad loved her...you loved her...she was his fiancĂŠe and your mum, you two didnât do anything wrong. You trust the people you love until they give you a reason not to trust themâ Niall rested his arm around Charleigh.
âDad always said the day he stopped loving her was the day he ran in to get me from the burning house...thank god he never got hurtâ She whispers.Â
The conversation was interrupted with the ring of Niallâs phone. âI need to take this...get writing troubleâ He smiles, tapping the notebook and taking the phone call outside of the room.
Charleigh picked the pen up, spilling words upon words onto the pages. Filling them with potential lyrics, and ideas. When Niall came back, Charleigh was already scribbling away with piano chords and lyrics.
The day had flown by, they had pieced together Charleighâs perfect song, with help from Niall, she had a stripped down, piano recording of them singing it together in his home studio.
ââââââ
Towards the end of the week, Charleigh felt so much more relaxed after spending the week in LA, catching up with friends and having time for herself. She had the week to take a break from travelling with her Dad, being on the go 24/7 and mainly, just a little time away from her Dad.
They had really been getting on top of each other lately, and Niall could see a huge difference in Charleigh. She seemed well rested and happier, calmness filling her body.
Friday had rolled around and she was eating a crispy chicken salad outside in the garden for lunch while finishing up some work.
âHello Cherryâ A voice sounded as a tall, curly brunette man appeared, coming out of the French doors.
âDad?! What are you doing here?!â Charleigh grins, placing her food on the table and rushing over to him. His arms instantly wrapped around her tightly.
âCame to see my girl...missed youâ He smiles, embracing her tightly. Charleigh cuddled into his chest tightly, the familiar scent of his Tom Ford aftershave that she had definitely missed, hit her happily.
âI missed you too...â She whispers. âAre you busy? Can we have a talk?â Harry asked softly. Charleigh gave him a nod and headed over to where she was sitting before, tucking back into her salad. âWhatâs up?â
âWell...I just wanted to talk to you and see what you wanted to do and...how you were feeling now compared to last week.â Harry says softly.
âI feel better. I really needed this, I was just getting tired with travelling so much and I know weâve been doing it for a long time, but itâs different when youâre olderâ She explained, pushing her food around with her fork.
âIâm really glad I came here, we weâre driving each other stir crazy and I think we just needed a few days out of each otherâs hairâ Charleigh admitted truthfully. âBecause I realised that I missed youâ
Harry smiles with a chuckle. âI agree...I missed you too you know. Although it was great to not have our tour bus a total tip and full of all of your stuffâ Harry teases with a smile. âHey! You have just as much stuff!â Charleigh pouts.
âYes but Iâm tidy Char. So...what do you want to do from here?â He asked seriously.
âIâm ready to come back on tourâ Charleigh smiles widely.
âAre you sure? You know we can sort something if you really donât want to...I just...Iâm not ready for you to be staying on your own yet..â
âI donât want to be on my own either Dad. I feel safe with you guysâ She sighs softly.
âWell...welcome back baby!â Harry chuckles, happily pulling her into another hug. âSo, what did you get up to this week?â
â...We wrote and recorded a songâ Charleigh gives him a small smile.
âYou did?...Can I hear it?â Harry held a surprised grin as Charleigh nods.
*Moral Of The Story (Ashe ft Niall Horan - Original)
Moral Of The Story (Ashe ft Niall Horan - Acoustic Version)*
âSo I never really knew you
God, I really tried to
Blindsided, sheâs addicted
Thought we could really do this
But really I was foolish
Hindsight, it's obvious
Talking with my father
I said, "Whyâd she have to leave?"
He said, "Young people fall in love
With the wrong people sometimes"
Some mistakes get made
That's alright, that's okay
You can think that you're in love
When you're really just in pain
Some mistakes get made
That's alright, that's okay
In the end, it's better for me
That's the moral of the story, babe
It's funny how my memories
Come back in my bad dreams
When running wild, turned volatile
It's not funny how it changes
Now weâve ended up like strangers
'Cause you burnt down our paper house
Listening to my father
He said âyouâll always be mine,
Even if some people fall in love
With the wrong people sometimesâ
Some mistakes get made
That's alright, that's okay
You can think that you're in love
When you're really just in pain
Some mistakes get made
That's alright, that's okay
In the end, it's better for me
That's the moral of the story, baby
They say it's better to have loved and lost
Than never to have loved at all
That could be a load of shit
But I just need to tell you all
Some mistakes get made
That's alright, that's okay
He thought he was in love
But he was really just engaged
Some mistakes get made
That's alright, that's okay
In the end, it's better for me
That's the moral of my story
Some mistakes get made
That's alright, that's okay
You can think that you're in love
When you're really just in pain
Some mistakes get made
That's alright, that's okay
In the end, it's better for us
That's the moral of our story, babeâ
Singledadrry (LOT) and maybe there out walking around, like the pap pics a few days ago. And just what itâd be like being the daughter of a famous musician and traveling with him and what itâs like for her when he receives stuff like flowers from fans and what she does when they run into fans, or something like that?

Charleigh - Age 17
ââââââ
Charleigh was wandering down the street with her dad at her side, and a few security guards around them as they were wandering around the streets.
âDad I need to find a new coat, can we go into Zara?â She asks, walking beside him.
âWhy didnât you say? We just passed a Gucciâ he pointed back.
âWell I know but I have a Gucci coat at home and I donât want one for tour incase I loose it or leave it somewhereâ she shrugs softly.
âWell we can always replace itâŚâ Harry suggests
âDad, I just want a cheap one that doesnât matter if I loose itâ He nods in acceptance and follows behind her while she roams around and settles on a plain black coat.
As they headed back to the hotel, a few gasps were heard as a very small crowd formed.
âE-excuse me Harry. May we have a picture please?â the shy group of teens approached politely.
âOf course girls! Itâs my pleasure!â Harry smiles.
âHi Charleigh!â One of them says excitedly.
âHi! Whatâs your name?â She smiles politely.
âIâm Lillyâ she blushes shyly.
âHi Lilly, are you going to see the show tonight?â
âYeah! We canât wait, we could only get tickets at the very top but we can see from the screens. Weâre so excited!â
âThatâs awesome! Thank you so much for coming to the show!â She grins, and looks over to Harry with the group. âDo you want me to take the photos for you?â Charleigh offers with a smile.
âCheers darlinâ Harry smiles as Charleigh clicks the photos away.
âI bet youâre having the best time touringâ Lilly says kindly, shying herself away from the growing crowd, the same as Charleigh.
âItâs always nice to be on the tour, and weâre so lucky, but it does get overwhelming for me and my Dad sometimesâ she sighs softly.
Charleigh took some of the bouquets of flowers from her Dad, then carried on helping with the photos. Unfortunately, the crowd had grown considerably since the original six had arrived, now being barged away by new comers demanding photos.
Charleigh stood out of the way, by security as she waited patiently, feeling well aware of the photos and videos of her and Harry being taken. She looked down nervously and took a deep breath.
âJeffâ Charleigh called as he made his way over. âYou see that girl with the pink coat and long brown hair, can you give her and her five friends a pass and tickets for our area of the pit next to the stage please? Theyâre right at the top and theyâve been so politeâ
He nods and smiles âsure Char, anyone else in that group?â He asks as she shakes her head. âNo, they were so polite and then they got barged away. Just those six please. They can come to the side of the stage where we stay in the barriersâ
âGot it!â He chuckles.
Harry happily thanks and expresses his appreciation to his fans. âThank you all for the lovely flowers and I hope youâll enjoy the show! If youâll excuse me, I need to find my daughter and make sure sheâs okayâ he says goodbye and strolls over to Charleigh.
âYou okay Cherry?â He asks quietly, wrapping his arm round he shoulder and heading into the arena. She shrugs silently and stares at the ground. Crowds had always overwhelmed her.
âI donât know. I think soâ she whispers. âYou want to have a lay down and listen to some music?â He rubs her back gently as she nods, heading into his dressing room and dimming the lights.
He grabs his acoustic guitar from the stand and sits on the floor in front of the sofa. âLay down and close your eyes bugâ he says calmly, gently plucking at the strings of his guitar as Charleigh lays behind her Dad.
What about a drabble of what char did when Harry was on the bbc radio and stuff? Like maybe she was out Christmas shopping with her nana and then Harry met up with them or something?

ââââââ
"Text me as soon as youâre with Nana ok?" Harry reminds Charleigh as she rolls her eyes softly. "Dad, chill! She just texted me and said sheâll be waiting outside the hotel before the car is even there. Am I getting the car to bring me back here when youâre done?â She asked, pulling her coat tightly around herself.Â
Harry was due on BBC Radio 1 this afternoon, their studios were based in Great Portland Street in central London, and Anne was visiting for a few days before going back to Cheshire. She was down for a few events and meetings early December before coming to spend a few weeks with Harry and Charleigh over Christmas.
âIâll give you a text or ring when Iâm done and we will see where you girls are, alright?â He nods. âBe safe and phone me if you need anything ok! Love you!â He presses a kiss to her head gently. âDad, Iâm 17 and I earn my own money...I donât need anythingâ She sighs softly with a smile. âHave fun! See you later, love you too!â She calls out as she climbs into the car.
As soon as the car pulled up outside Anneâs hotel, Charleigh could see her Nanaâs excited smile. Charleigh squealed happily and hopped out of the car, flinging her arms around Anne.
âHi Darling!â Anne grins happily. âOh Iâve missed you!â She wraps her arms lovingly around her granddaughter.
âIâve missed you tooâ She smiles happily. Anne was the motherly figure Charleigh needed. She didnât really need anyone else.
âCome on lovie, letâs get shoppingâ Anne chuckles, as Charleigh quickly sent her Dad a text, including a selfie with her Nana.
Charleigh and Anne wandered into Harrods first, browsing every shelf, product and decoration before taking themselves into Selfridges, where Charleigh happily spent her money on some new makeup, as well as seeing the coolest pair of boots. âNana, do you think Dad would like these for Christmas?â
She picked up a pair of black leather Gucci boots with a buckle round the front. âI think heâd love them sweetieâ She smiles. âDid Dad give you money to spend?â
âNo, Iâve been working alongside the management team, doing social media, and some companies have been doing paid sponsorships with me.â She smiles proudly. She was well aware that she only had those jobs and sponsorships because of who her dad was, but she really did try to work her hardest.
âThatâs great! Now letâs go and get these and get a Starbuck alright?â Anne smiles.
Charleigh followed to the till, paying for her bits and then leaving Selfridges, heading into the Starbucks around the corner and joining the queue.Â
âBBC Radio One...â The speaker sings. âNow before you go Harry, we need to do a Christmas cracker, and youâre going to tell the jokeâ Clara speaks into the mic. Harry chuckles as a pop of the cracker is sounded. Charleigh and Anne gave each other a quiet smirk as they listened to the speakers carefully.
âWhat do they sing at a snowmanâs birthday party?...Freeze-a jolly good fellowâ Harry grinned. Even though she couldnât see her Dad, she knew him well enough to know there would be a wide grin plastered on his face.
Clara groaned softly âShall we do another one?â She laughs.
âMy daughter loves this one...what about...what does a monkey sing at Christmas time?...Jungle Bellsâ
Charleighâs face dropped as she covered her eyes with her hand, feeling pure embarrassment engulf her. âOh my god, he is so embarrassingâ She groans as Anne chuckles, wrapping her arm tightly around Charleighâs shoulders.
Once they had their drinks, Charleighâs phone rang.
ââEllo darling!â Harry smiles into the phone.
âHello to the most embarrassing human on the planet.â Charleigh muttered into the phone.
Harry chuckled deeply âOh so you were listening! Thought youâd appreciate your favourite joke!â
âDad it was my favourite when I was five!â She groans softly.
âAnyway, howâs the shopping going?â
âItâs good. Weâre just getting a Starbucks and then I think we were going to go to Winter Wonderland maybe, if itâs not too busy. Are you finished?â
âYeah, Iâll meet you guys at Hyde Park and then maybe we can all find somewhere nice for dinner?â Harry suggested.
âSoundâs good, we will find somewhere to wait. See you soonâ
âSee you in 10, Cherryâ He smiles and hangs up. It wasnât long until Harry was spotted by Charleigh and Anne, wrapped up in a coat and scarf, with a hat and sunglasses.
âHello Mum. How are you doing?â Harry grins, opening his arms wide.Â
âHello sweetie. Iâm so happy to see you, how are you?â She grins, pressing a kiss to his cheek.
âIâm good! You look shopped out Char!â He chuckles, as they wander around the Christmassy stalls. Every stool was covered in ornaments, toys, candles, handcrafted gifts, foods and drinks. The sun was beginning to set and the colourful lights flickered around you, live music playing and festive cheer filing the air.
Christmas was always their favourite time, especially spending moments with their family.
