Hi!
I am a great admirer of your work for The Sims 3, and I am reaching out to see if you might be interested in a custom content project.
I have compiled a collection of references (attached) featuring headpieces, jewelry, and gowns that I would love to see in my game. My request includes both original designs and conversions from The Sims 4.
The items I am hoping to have converted from TS4 are:
Board 1, Item #7: Originally by @laurandir
Board 1, Item #20: Likely by @sims4clutterchaos
Board 2, Item #8: Originally by @karieamel
Additionally, I am looking for creators who might be interested in designing original items inspired by the other regal and fantasy-themed pieces in my collection.
I need to be completely transparent about my situation: due to a chronic health condition, I am currently unable to offer payment for commissions, and unfortunately, my health is not expected to improve significantly in the near future.
I understand that creating custom content—especially complex headpieces and converting items from TS4 to TS3—requires a significant amount of skill, time, and effort. I completely understand if you are unable to take on this project for free. However, if you are drawn to these aesthetics, looking for a creative challenge, or would like to support a fellow simmer who is going through a difficult time, I would be incredibly grateful for any assistance, even with just one or two of these pieces.
Thank you so much for your time, your exceptional talent, and for everything you contribute to The Sims community.
Another old pose I did! Lmk if there are any problems with the download, haven’t done this in a while >.<Â

Hi!
I am a great admirer of your work for The Sims 3, and I was hoping you might be willing to consider a custom content project.
I am looking for talented creators to bring some original, ornate headpieces and jewelry to The Sims 3, inspired by the aesthetic on the first reference board. Additionally, I’m hoping to have some specific items converted from The Sims 4:
Item 1:Â A dress originally by @simstoricalish for TS4.
Item 2:Â Clutter/decor by @sims4clutterchaos for TS4.
Item 3:Â Item by @vilachi-sims for TS4.
Item 4:Â Item by @laurandir for TS4.
Item 14:Â Item by @shandir for TS4.
I need to be completely transparent about my situation: due to a chronic health condition, I am currently unable to offer payment for commissions, and unfortunately, my health is unlikely to improve significantly in the near future.
I understand that creating custom content, especially intricate designs and conversions from multiple sources (original art, TS4 items), requires a lot of skill, time, and effort. I completely understand if you are unable to take on this project. However, if you are drawn to these aesthetics, looking for a creative challenge, or would like to help a fellow simmer who is going through a difficult time, I would be incredibly grateful for any assistance, even with just a few of the items.
Thank you so much for your time, your talent, and for all that you contribute to The Sims community.

Hi!
I am a big admirer of your work for The Sims 3, and I was hoping you might be interested in a custom content project.
I am looking for someone to help me bring some specific medieval and fantasy-themed items into the game. I have compiled my requests into three reference boards:
Boards 1 & 2: These contain items (crowns and cloaks) from Crusader Kings III that I would love to see converted for The Sims 3.
Board 3: This board features some original fantasy designs that I am looking to have created. However, please note that item #9 on this board (a set of decor) was originally created for The Sims 4 by an unknown author. I would be very grateful if this specific decor item could also be considered for conversion.
I want to be completely open and upfront with you about my situation: due to a chronic health condition, I am currently unable to pay for commissions, and unfortunately, my health is not expected to improve in the near future.
I realize that creating CC—especially porting models from another game (CK3) or another Sims game (TS4), or creating new designs—is a very time-consuming and difficult process. I completely understand if you are unable to take this on for free, as your skills are valuable. However, if you are looking for a creative challenge or would like to support a simmer who is going through a difficult time, I would be incredibly grateful for any help with even just a few of these items.
Thank you so much for your time and for everything you contribute to our community.
I'm sorry! I think you left your tumblr, because you didn't want it again.. But can I ask about update links on your old tumblr with lots for Dreamer's Bay :( They are really amazing!
Hello Nonnikins,
Dreamer’s Bay is truly amazing, it is in my top five favorite worlds. However, I think you are confusing me with Frankie ( @gruesim ), who is the creator of Dreamer’s Bay. She isn’t as active as she was before because she moved and doesn’t have her computer. However, you can still message her about Dreamer’s Bay.
EDIT: I just realized you were talking about the lots that illawara created. Sadly, Illawara did leave the community and as far as I know she hasn’t returned. However, I did share all of her lots that I knew she made for Dreamer’s Bay on my CC Finds page - which can be found >>Dreamer’s Bay<< or >>illawara<<
My apologies for the confusion <3 If you need any help feel free to send me a private message!
Happy Simming, Dani
What are high poly objects and what do you need to know?
I am shadow banned currently so this post probably isn't going to get much traction, I just want to put the information out there.
An object or rather a mesh being considered high poly refers to the meshes vertices and face counts. It's relative to what engine you are putting the object in. For renders and CGI film media, High poly objects can create some amazing and stunning art.
For video games that have a more optimized engine and your personal pc is a big rig, you can create a hyper-realistic aesthetic. Think those 4k Skyrim videos on Youtube, or more recently BG3 with latest armor and hair sets.
High poly in the sims 3 has a pretty heavy limit. The mesh will simply explode in the game if it is too high poly. The creator wouldn't even be able to take previews in game because the mesh will just not be in the shape it is supposed to.
While exploded meshes can cause you to CTD "Crash to desktop" as the game's engine is taking too many resources attempting to render the object or mesh back together. The game is trying to read the mesh and display it back to you as the mesh was intended to look. And sometimes, you won't even CTD, the mesh will just stay exploded.
But that is what is considered the dangers of high poly objects. If you don't cap your fps to 60 or use some kind of V-sync with the sims 3 it will take as many resources as your pc will give it. This can over work your GPU for extended periods of time can ultimately contribute to your graphics card fizzing out.
This isn't just caused by high poly objects by the way. Setting your textures too high and attempting to run the game despite the lag, stutters, and freezes can also result in this. Using free game boosters that over correct what is actually needed for the Sims 3 can also cause this. Keep in mind this process takes awhile, PC's are very strong they will hold out for as long as possible, and it means you probably don't practice safe and healthy gaming in general. Allowing other programs to stay open every time you play, like Firefox, on several different tabs can all contribute to it. Leaving your PC on over night, not turning it off everyday or keeping it off when you're not using it, etc.
For an exploded mesh in game you don't want that cc anyway, you're not going to be able to even use it. But it won't be the ONLY reason your game or pc is damaged.
That is why there is a general rule of thumb for cc. You want to keep it as low as possible. The lower the poly, the easier it is for the game to render it, the safer it is for your game and graphics card.
Something that I don't see talked about a lot however is that you can actually safely use high poly objects in the game. You would just use the cc sparingly. High poly cas items that don't explode in CAS are safe to use but you should regulate only to your current household. As long as a bunch of townies aren't walking around with the same hairs and outfits, you'll be fine.
The same can be said for objects. You may be able to place 30 items of a low poly plant in a pot around the house, but you should only place 1 or 2 of whatever high poly object you've got in that build. Placing a lot of high poly objects in one build can result in a CTD. The same way the game would if the mesh exploded. The game has to render all of those vertices and faces several more times and it's doing that everytime you exit then enter that lot again. This can also happen with the low poly plant in a pot object, it's just going to take a lot more of that object to simulate a CTD.
The same things happen with EA objects in the game as well, btw.
Think of it like this, you wouldn't be able to place 30 of the high poly object, but you wouldn't be able to place 500 of the low poly object either. And that's regulated to one lot in the entire world. You can scatter these objects around to several lots, low and high poly with little to no issues.
Understanding this now, I see different energy when it comes to who is uploading high poly objects. Sometimes if it's a creator that other creators like, they are thankful the creator let people know it's high poly. There is a risk to using cc and mods in general, but it is ultimately up to how the player uses the objects. High poly can simply mean, use this object sparingly. In other instances, if it's a creator that hasn't been accolated with other creators, you seem to be the worst person in the whole world for ever uploading anything high poly.
Even more perplexing is that the same exact creator is being called out and used as an example a year apart for sets they converted before being called out both times. Their recent sets cannot be used as an example as they now decimate their conversions. I have watched them decimate their conversions with my own eyes.
In any other normal scenario, that creator would have been privately messaged, invited to join some kind of creators hub, and given helpful and friendly tips, and encouraged to keep going.
They would not have been publicized in that manner, their conversions that are unmistakably coming from them, and they don't even have the respect of being tagged. No. That is how you push people willing to learn how to make things for the game into isolation.
Even more interesting is I see other people who do not create or convert weighing in on the topic and they are not as well versed on it and they are not being corrected. If you made your post to politely educate people and not to antagonize one specific creator then why wouldn't you continue to educate people in the conversations happening?
Someone claimed that even if the object is low poly but the textures look too real or high quality they still think this is bad for their game. A texture and what considers it to be "high poly" (not even a thing) is simply what size the creator baked the mesh in blender. 1024x1024 is average, it's in 98% of cc despite EA baking their meshes 512 x 512. Sharper quality gets you 2048 x 2048. In the sims 3 world that is considered 2k textures. It's not going to harm your game, your biggest concern would be with the polycount. The most issue you'd get with a high resolution texture is it MIGHT take slightly longer to render the texture on the object. As in the mesh in game will appear gray for a short period of time. You've all seen that on Ea objects, how the game chooses to render and focus on objects depends a lot on your specs and graphics settings.
That creator was new when they were first starting conversions, they did not know about the decimation process. They are not in any creator hub spaces. They learned how to do all of this on their own. Instead of constantly trying to humiliate them maybe be a nice person and reach out to them like you would with any other white creator, hm? Also, use more recent examples, oh that's right you can't.
Didn't someone release all of their early conversions with no pushback and issues from other creators or the community? They said the conversions were high poly with several issues and people still thanked them for releasing it to the public. I don't see any posts passive aggressively warning them about decimating.
It's just REALLY strange, that their old conversions are still being used to make a point that's already been made. Despite the last person who made their post on that same creator being very disrespectful when referring to them, that creator still kindly proceeded to learn how to decimate and has been doing it ever since. So now I'm like what was even the point of that post and posting pictures of their old conversions? Did you just feel like being mean that day?
