okay wow tarmac rallies in DR2 feel so much worse than WRC. Not even close. I'm trying Spain in my Group B integrale and it feels like i'm racing on butter. In a bad way. Tarmac is supposed to be grippy why am I sliding all over the place.

having played 4 hours of Dirt Rally 2.0 it seems kind of like ... I dunno, there's this feel of going backwards with the shift to EA WRC. Part of that might be more about personal style - the UI and overall vibe of DR2 suits me a lot better than the very safe and kinda boring modern UI of WRC. A lot of things in the WRC UI confused me at first. I wasn't sure how the tire replacements worked at first, for example, and mid-event it seems weird to me that the place I go to look at important event information (like the number of remaining stages and their length/surface conditions) is in the tire section. So the DR2 ui seems better for stuff like that. The reason I'm even trying DR2 is because I saw a 2kliksphilip video about playing the daily/weekly/monthly challenges, which sounded awesome, but then I got into the game and looked at them and literally all the ones that are available to me require me to buy a single car for $2, or one of the big packs and a car. I guess the Moments system in WRC is supposed to replace the dailies? I kinda wish I could combine both. Take the content from WRC and put it in the container of DR2. I definitely like the top level rally1 cars and I'm gonna miss them in DR2 if I ever can get rid of this fucking Lancia.
