We all go to the doctor and sometimes they will send us off to the lab to have different tubes of blood drawn and for those panels to be worked up and analyzed.
For my Master’s practicum I’m starting a medical blog.
It’s SimpleMLS, because I’m a medical laboratory scientist, and I’m trying to talk about laboratory and other medical topics in simple terms. I’m still working on writing more articles (I’m going to have 12 articles by mid-december), but if anyone thinks this is a good idea and wants to learn more about medicine through the lens of a laboratory professional, let me know.
I’m also a diabetic, so my A1C article discusses this test from both the patient and lab professional lens. Depending on interest, I may write more articles about diabetes.
