In the Faroe Islands there are more sheep than people. This has been a well-known fact for decades. They run around just about everywhere (have you heard of sheepview? There are many kinds of energy in the world. The kind of energy negative or toxic people exude has got to be one of the worst. It can kill the buzz in an entire room and make everyone just want to leave. It can strip everyone from self-confidence and drive, and even make people want to quit their jobs or go down ill. . So how do we “fight” this? . First, we must learn to recognise these negative or toxic people. Who are they and how do they spread their poison. Are they being bossy? Are they condescending? Maybe trying to hide ill meaning words in compliments? Perhaps they are gossipers who just know how everyone (other than themselves apparently) should live their lives? They could want to stir up trouble wherever they roam. Or maybe they simply just (per definition) disagree with everything you say or do just to start a discussion. . The truth is. No matter which kind of toxic person you’re dealing with, they quite often come from great insecurities, few close friends (they may have a huge possum of admirers who they call friends but who don’t really know them very well, though), bad environments, struggles in their every day lives, LOW SELF ESTEEM! . Being mean, bossy, or gossipy to others helps only their needs to feel raised above others (and thereby feel more accomplished and better about themselves), so if you want to steer clear of their energies, don’t feed them! Don’t continue to seek them out, don’t contact them for advice or whatever else you might feel the urge to because you feel their pain. Recognise them as the human beings they are, recognise their flaws and their cry for help, but also recognise that you are not equipped - at this time - to be that help. If you manage to do this, you’ll more likely be able to shield yourself from and not tap into their destructive energies. . To try and explain this process in a more visual way, picture the toxic person as a smoker and yourself as the person sitting in their face when they smoke. Would you continue to breathe their second hand smoke or would you remove yourself from it? My neighbour recently told me that it’s mandatory to post a picture of sandy feet when Norwegian residents vacation in Denmark .. I did not know .. 😳 Not being near a beach, I asked if maybe it was okay to take the picture in a sand box ... but it proved difficult to find one of those nearby too!? 🤪 SO .. while my model went into the water for part of her shoot today, I took the opportunity to get the mandatory picture taken!
