Arlecchino already got busted up by Lea, just collect what's left and hook him up to an ergo battery for interrogation, easy peasy. But no. Simon had Arlecchino fully rebuilt. Not just rebuilt, but enhanced. When Lea first fought Arlecchino, he likely just had a standard, run of the mill puppet body and it got completely trashed. But when we see him in Overture? Simon had Arlecchino outfitted with a fully custom built body. A 10+ feet tall, gold plated, synesthetic skin face with slicked back hair, goddamn metal Salvador Dali mustached Adonis. And a tailor made white fur coat.

Look at this, Simon. There is NO heterosexual explanation for this if all you wanted was to just "research" Arlecchino. Then Arlecchino escapes (seriously Simon what did you think would happen you gave him personalized weapons and built in sword arms and buzzsaws), kills a ton of Simon's men, only to get destroyed again by Lea and P. So Simon collects Arlecchino and rebuilds him again, although this time using a standard issue puppet body (at least he learned SOME lessons). Only for Arlecchino to once again escape and wreck havoc on the Isle of Alchemists before getting destroyed once again, likely by Laxasia. So you'd reckon alright, that's it. No more chances, finish him off? NO!! Simon spares Arlecchino AGAIN and instead just seals him away in the final trinity room! We have well past the point of research and fascination my man, just admit you want to bang the murder puppet.

Let's say Simon is 19, Valentinus is 31, Paracelsus is 38 and stopped aging at 35. As I like to write him, he keeps himself young by balancing the petrification disease perfectly between its petrifying expression and its monstrous expression, so it all cancels out but slightly in favor of being revitalizing.
