Analogies, metaphors, et cetera.
(from Guardians of the Galaxy 3, 2023)
Being a writer is like having your own redemption arc. It isn't about the mistakes you've made in your work, it's about doing better from those mistakes.

“They were deep within the intestines of the woods, in an area so dark and forsaken that they were undoubtedly the bowels of the forest.”

So I had an anon (deleted it, wasn't an accident, not even sorry) ask why I said I wasn't "female, yet"and said that transitioning wasn't like Pokémon Evolution.
*WILD ANON APPEARED. WHAT WILL STEPHIE DO?*
*WILD ANON USED TAUNT*
*STEPHIE USED DOUBLE SLAP*
Except that...transitioning kind of IS like Pokémon Evolution.
When Pokémon evolve, they become better version of themselves. Faster, stronger, happier.
They change themselves during the evolution process, things disappear and new parts of themselves appear.
So, with the transition process, parts of my old self, my "Base Stage" will disappear; my disgusting excessive body hair, my annoying unwanted penis.
And new things will appear...namely, da bewbs.
And things will change, my face will soften, my butt will be bigger and my voice will change.
I will become a new being, evolving into my "second stage." A better, more powerful and happier version of myself.
...
But, then again, you could make an allegory like this about almost anything; remodelling your house, upgrading the engine of your car, Samsung bringing out a new model of Galaxy phone. Each one. Changes to become better.
Yeah I know there won't be a big bright flash of white light, it'll take time. Like evolution in the real world.
Kind of like Mew, when it was cloned by Team Rocket to become Mewtwo...a faster, stronger, overall more powerful version of Mew.
So yeah, Pokémon Evolutionis rather a lot like transitioning.
And if I have to become Mewtwo to my Mew...y'know, I'm really okay with that.
Besides, Pokémon also has Ho-oh, the RAINBOW Pokémon, that's based on a Phoenix, a mythical bird that rises from its own ashes better than before.
Have some trans and pride edit Ho-oh's I made
*IT HIT TWO TIMES! STEPHIE USED SCALD*
*IT'S SUPER EFFECTIVE*
*WILD ANON WAS BURNED*
*WILD ANON WAS HURT BY ITS BURN*
*WILD ANON FAINTED*
*****Edit*****
It's also a lot like what Steve Rogers goes through in WWII when he becomes Captain America. That Super Soldier Serum changes him, TRANSITIONS HIM from a scrawny, ill man into a tall, ripped badass.
The doctor who created the serum, doctor Abrahime Erskine also explicitly states that the serum brings forward whatever is inside, amplifies it.
So while everyone around me sees a male body, inside me Steph is fighting to get out, waiting for her super soldier serum (read; surgery, hormones and vocal training) to become...better. I don't see myself as male, I don't think of myself as male, but right at this second in time, I have a deep voice, I have body hair that I remove almost every day, and I have a penis. All these things I don't want. I see, think and feel myself as Steph every second of every hour of every day, and if you can't handle that, then go away. Just go jump off a bridge, noone will miss you, news outlets won't report on it. The world would be better off without your hatred in it.
“It was an apt metaphor”
-Castiel, in regards to his comment “like a ripe melon in the sun”
Well actually, it’s a similie
Why? A metaphor compares two things without using “like” or “as”, while a similie uses those two words. Since he compares the exploding head to the ripe melon and uses the word “like”, it is a similie.
feelings are... plant.
they grow and change
you can nurture them or BURN THEM
they can be poisonous
they bear the sweetest fruit
they can be really useful, like medicinal herbs
they can be a pain in the ass, like weeds
