Hi all, someone brought to my attention that my website is down. I've contacted my webhost for help, and I'll do my best to get it up and running again.
Nearly all of my builds on my site are in the Sims gallery. If there's something you're looking for specifically let me know. Sorry about this!

Weird thing to be happy about, but last night I was messing around with the new EA app and realized I was able to change my EA ID. It was originally "belledaisies", but now my gallery name reflects my Sims social handle.
I'm not sure if I'm going to need to change a ton of links on my website now. But this is neat. I'm not sure why I never tried before, I do know that when I made my EA account, for whatever reason 'simdaisies' was not available.
Just over indulging because I've been working on this save file on my own and intermittently for the past three years and aside from posting screenshots I haven't really talked about it anywhere. I really love building and it's so easy to get lost in all the details. Just a few disorganized points about my build as I go into the last few worlds and then the final phase of putting the world together and testing shit:
- I tried to keep things as simple as I can. It would be tempting to go into every lot with the TOOL mod, and go nuts but it would go against my basic philosophy of this world to build something that can be built upon by the player (which who am I kidding, it will probably be just me at this point :D ) So in that sense I just wanted things to look good, be maxis match and player friendly. It was more important for me to build lots that worked well in gameplay and that others can easily customize for their own games.
- in the sense above, I really, really tried to limit the packs I used. In the end, I used all the gamepacks and all the expansion packs. There are a few stuff packs which I consider absolutely necessary such as Vintage Glamour, Perfect Patio and Bowling Night, among others. I think ultimately I just wanted to have fun and be creative and I didn't want to limit myself too much.
- I don't think I'll be adding any more Sims to this world than there already is. I will be "touching up" the existing premade Sims and maybe moving a few homeless NPCs to their homes, such as Brytani Cho and the other celebs in Del Sol Valley.
- I won't be updating Henford-on-Bagley and Mt. Komorebi. I'm considering not updating Evergreen Harbor even though I really want to. I purposefully had not bought any new DLCs after Cottage Living because I wanted to concentrate on this save file and the project is big as it is. I may update them in a "version 2" of this project.
- I may call the save file something else. I'm already over "simdaisiesworld" :D
Anyway, my progress is here: https://trello.com/b/ZU0SQGUq/simdaisies-world
It will still be a few more weeks. I've been addicted to World of Warcraft and Horizon Zero Dawn (now Horizon Forbidden West), so that's why my progress has been slow. But I'm looking forward to finishing this and actually playing with my Sims again!
So I am still working on my Sims 4 Save file, even though I've taken a hiatus. It's still on my mind while I'm playing and building so I thought I should just get back on track and finish it.
I started using Trello to manage my file, because things just got a bit overwhelming for me. This helps me keep organized and it helps me visualize my progress, and sorry/not sorry if this sounds like an ad, but I thought I'd share the board and what I've done.
Here's my board: https://trello.com/b/ZU0SQGUq
I went with a basic productivity template (start > doing > done) and added title cards of all the worlds in the list. The starting list (Worlds) will have ALL the lots in the game in there, organized below the world title cards. When I start working on them, I move them to the next list and when all of these cards are in the "completed list", I win the game!
I'm sharing the template if anyone out there is building a save file, or trying to find a way to manage their game.
If you've never used Trello before, keep reading for the basic instructions. Video link is below as well.
Trello is a great productivity tool that I've been using to manage my Sims 4 Save File project. It helps me keep organized and it also help
Visit the template link above and click "Create board from Template"
Rename your board, and keep cards and template cards and click "Create"
Start with the list on the very left called "WORLDS"
Under every World title card (Willow Creek, Oasis Springs, etc) are cards for every lot in the game
The lot cards naming convention are as follows [neighbourhood name ] - [ lot name ] - [ size ] [ lot type/venue ] (occupants)
Open each card to add your description and comments and rename the lot if you'd like to. If you're using other builds, link the download link in here. You can also use this to keep a list of all of your custom content.
Move cards into the next few lists as you work on each lot
List Descriptions:
Ideas: Add card to this list when you are gathering ideas and inspiration.
Review: If you have an existing build, you can move a card to this list if you need to determine if it will make it to your save file or if you'll have to update it or use a different build
In Progress: Move card to this list when you're building
Play Testing: Move card to this list when you're ready to test the build. You can add a premade checklist of what to test by clicking on "Checklist" in the card and selecting the "Testing Checklist".
Completed: When the build is done, you can move it to this list. You can add a screenshot and use it as a cover, and add a link to the download for your reference or if you plan on making your board public
Port to Save: When you've completed all the builds, you can port them all to a fresh new save file which you can share
Template: This is a list of template cards. You can copy this list if you're creating a new list if you'd like to keep the World title cards

Note for anyone who is downloading my lots: I have been trying to mirror my downloads onto Mediafire or Google Drive, just in case SFS goes down.
The builds on the main site https://sims.blackdaisies.com will be the most updated and they will also always be on the Sims Gallery under EA ID “belledaisies”
Please let me know if links don’t work. I’m not on Tumblr as much as I’d like to be but the best way to get my attention right now is to tag me on Twitter @blackdaisies.
Does anyone else build something that really only works in one specific lot? I do this a lot because I build for the scenery but it's becoming a problem how anal retentive I am about making it look right , and if it will work in other people's games.
