Chizuk by being mesameach a chusson
Wow. Last night I had a chassene of a rather interesting BT. No one expected he would ever have chassene but apparently there happened to be someone of a certain Mea Shearim Chassidus who did help him get a shidduch and get through with the chassene. The moment he was called up for his aufruf last Shabbos by us in shul basically the whole oylem (from children, buchrim to adults) were laughing because those who didn't know about it yet could hardly believe their eyes.
Yes, he did have chassene. A real one [which had been kinda of a debate for a few months among those who knew he was a chusson]. And Oowa, leibedig it was! I was there already from the kabbolas punim since this BT eats a lot by my family, and so we also had to come in bekitshe [meaning also, mostly dancing in the inner circle(s)]. A bucher from our chassidus told us he would arrange some buchrim to come to help out with the dancing. However, no one expected what would happen then. Not just some buchrim came. Almost the whole yeshiva gedoile of our chassidus came. Most of the buchrim who live/learn in Yerushalayim came to the chassene! Even those below shiur gimmel (ג) who usually don't attend chassenes other than those of close relatives. This is something that doesn't even happen at FFB chassenes. Granted, it was takeh ah very interesting chassene that most people -especially buchrim- didn't want to miss, but it was nevertheless very surprising and very nice to see.
It was for sure a big Kiddush Hashem for the BT's totally secular family. One of the BT's uncles told my younger brother after the first round of dancing, "By us [i.e in the secular world] there is no such thing. I never saw such a thing in my life!" Unfortunately all of his uncles left shortly after they'd finished their food, even before Birkas HaMazon, and that was when the real dancing would really start and even more people would come.
After the chassene as the car pulled up to the front of my older brother's house he said half jokingly, "tonight's chassene was a big chizuk for the *insert chassidus name*er buchrim"*.
