Hi! I just caught up on all your updates, and I'm still loving Oceanside. Can I ask how you manage to keep track of all your stats?
Hello!! And thank you!! ^.^
The short answer is Sim Tracker and Excel Spreadsheets. The long answer is the same but with photos!
With the Sim Tracker I can put in just about anything imaginable for individual sims: Traits, Description, LTW, Hobby enthusiasm, Interests, Careers, etc, and what level they are on. *Using Malcolm as an example because he is the sim I had open at the time.*
Then I also put in my own notes on what I have coming up for this sim and their family for the next rotation.
I use Excel to look at stats all at one time on one page. I’m not the best at Excel but, meh, I make it work. Above are the taxes that have been collected throughout the year and what needs to be paid at the end of the year. The blacked-out boxes mean those sims were not residents at that time or the business is not officially open (because the Business District is still locked).
These two above are the general census of the hood. This is the easiest way for me to keep track of births and age transitions as well as everyday things such as how many fires, burglaries, etc. The idea for this sheet is from iCad.
Above is the Calendar I made up to let me know when events are supposed to happen on what days. Spring is highlighted because that’s what I’m on now. The names with the letters next to them are for age transitions -- B-Baby, TD-Toddler, C-Child, etc. This idea came from Jessa -- but I did it a bit differently -- and it’s soooo helpful to see all of the upcoming events on one page. I wish I had done this sooner!
I know It looks totally ridiculous, and it’s still a work in progress, but it is surprisingly easy and not that time consuming once you have everything set up. During the rounds I just update accordingly. I hope this helps! ^.^
