THIS  IS ,  HE  CAN  ONLY  ASSUME ,   some  sort  of  punishment  for  every  time  he's  done  the  exact  same  thing  to  her.  Entirely  unprompted,  too.  Maybe  he  simply  liked  feeling  the  inside  of  his  wife's  mouth  --  is  that  so  wrong  ?

In  any  case,  if  it's  intended  as  a  punishment  it  isn't  a  very  good  one.  Puck  starts  sucking  on  her  fingers  immediately,  zero  hesitation  whatsoever.

THERE   WAS   CONFUSION     on  her  face,  &  his  own  now,  too.  His  eyebrows  knit  as  he  turned  away  in  an  almost  childish  manner.  If  he  were  slightly  more  of  a  brat  than  he  already  was,  he  might  have  even  pouted  at  how  easily  she  brushed  off  his  clear  display  of  mercy.  Katya  had  a  knack  for  stringing  together  just  the  right  words  in  just  the  right  order  to  vex  him  like  no  one  else  could.  It  was  a  gift  of  hers,  truly.

Puck  had  expected  her  to  bolt  without  hesitation.  Here  was  her  chance  to  finally  shake  herself  of  him, given freely.  Any  sane, ordinary  person  would  have  taken  it & never looked back.  But  he  should  have  known  better  than  that.  Katya was neither sane nor ordinary. Of  course  she  had  to  gloat  first.  She  had  to  rub  it  in  his  face. 

Wounded  already,  he  refused  to  indulge  her.

        “  I  am  letting  you  go,  ”  he  said,  rising  to  a  stand  as  to  remain  above  her.  To  cling  to  that  control  blatantly slipping  out  of  his  hands.  If  he  dismissed  her  first,  surely it  would  sting  less.

        “  I  will  not  chase  you  anymore.  ”  Is  that  not  what  you  want  ?

“ Insightful as ever, my love. Now put a gold coin in the jar. ” The 'No Bullying The Murder Pope' jar, of course.

@silvertiefling  :  "PUCK,  i  bought  us  matchin'  dresses  btw  -  well,  i  say  dresses,  but  they're  hardly  bigger  than  shirts-  extra  slutty  just  for  us!  "

“   ...   !   ” Puck  stared  slack-jawed  at  the  length  of  the  aforementioned  dresses.  Before  Katya,  he  would  have  never  dared  to  consider  wearing  feminine  attire.  Especially  not  anything  like  that  which  his wife currently  held,  where  the  hem  ended  before  his  legs  properly  began.

Nowadays,  he  felt  more  free  to  explore  within  the  confines  of  his  chambers. He always enjoyed what Katya selected for him, & had even begun to pick out dresses on his own.  He  was  working  up  to  feeling  comfortable  wearing them outside,  too.  But  he  didn't  think  he  was  ready  for  that  with  these.

Puck's  voice  came  out  in  a  squeak,  “  These  are  for  the  b-  bedroom,  right  ?   Just  while  we're  in  h-  here  ?   ”

PUCK   HATED   THIS   PART    of  the  job.  It  reached  a  point  where  it  was  just  dull.  The  pleading,  the  screaming,  all  of  it  was  the  same.

There  were  only  so  many  ways  to  torture  someone  without  killing  them  by  accident,  especially  for  someone  like  him.  It  would  feel  so  much  better  to  slit  their  throats  &  be  done  with  it.  Instead,  he  wasted  his  time  breaking  perfectly  good  slaughter  lambs  for  a  lick  of  information.  Even  the  stubborn  ones  didn't  capture  his  interest  anymore  --  &  on  the  rare  occasion  they  did,  he  always  got  too  excited  &  killed  them  too  soon.

“  The  name,  please.  ”  He  had  to  raise  his  voice  over  the  shrill  sobs  that  came  from  the  rack.  “  Come  now,  it's  only  a  word  or  two,  &  I  haven't  even  removed  any  of  your  teeth  yet  so  I  know  you  can  say  it.  ”

The  wailing  quieted  just  enough  to  earn  a  choked  up,  “  Y-  Yet  ?  ”

Puck's  eyebrows  furrowed.  One  of  his  feet  gestured  at  the  floor.  “  Those  are  some  of  your  toes,  if  you  have  somehow  forgotten  already.  What  makes  you  think  prying  out  teeth  is  off  the  table  ?   Is  that  not  the  tamer  option  ?   ”

A  mutter  to  himself,  “  I  would  have  thought  it  was  tamer...  ”

Clearly,  this  unwilling  informant  disagreed.  Their  face  contorted,  &  they  began  to  blubber  &  beg  all  over  again.  Puck  mumbled  a  prayer  under  his  breath,  asking  for  release  from  this  tediousness.  He  was  bored.  He  should  have  had  someone  else  do  it.

It  was  both  relieving  &  annoying  when  the  doors  swung  open,  Katya  prancing  inside  without  a  care  in  the  world.  She  wriggled  her  way  between  him  &  the  rack.  Puck  pinched  the  bridge  of  his  nose  with  a  sharp  huff  through  the  nostrils.

“  Katya,  this  had  better  be  important.  I  am  in  the  middle  of  something,  as  you  can  see.  ”  And  hear  from  outside,  no  doubt.

Puck  glanced  down  at  the  thorny,  red  rose  now  pinned  to  his  apron. It was his favorite kind of flower. He bit the inside of his cheek to prevent a smile. 

“  I  see.  Thank  you,  my  angel.  Is  that  all  you  came  in  for  ?   Unless,  you  would  like  to  join  me  ?   ”
