4. favourite dish specific for your country?

Ok there a lot but I’m gonna go with Sarma! It’s a dish made from minced meat and rice with spices wrapped in a sauerkraut. The best winter dish ever XD

Hmmmm… ok I have never really thought about this but lets go with the these catchphrases/words I’m stuck with right now: 

“odlično” (excellent)  - can be used ironically so I use it a lot 

“nevjerojatno” (unbelievable) - I work in IT… you hear this a lot when working in IT XD

“savršeno” (perfect) - cause sometimes things just are ❤

23. which alcoholic beverage is the favoured one in your country?

Well my first impulse was to say beer, it’s everywhere and I know very little people who don’t drink it. But wine is neck to neck I think. Hard to tell since it depends on the company and party you are at :3

26. does your nationality get portrayed in Hollywood/American media? what do you think about the portrayal?

Ok this is a little tricky cause I haven’t seen much of my country in Hollywood/American media, but the little I did see I didn’t like. We get portrayed mostly for the war that was happening here at the end of last century and any country that isn’t American gets the short stick in those movies, so yeah don’t like it that much ^_^;;,

The droggons have been very smooched and are now sleepy happy puppers ₍ᐢ•ﻌ•ᐢ₎*･ﾟ｡

Ok I have a few but I’m gonna go with Hladno Pivo - Samo za taj osjećaj (english lyrics) :3

1. favourite place in your country?

Ok I can’t decide between two places, sorry ;^;

One is National Park Krka and National Park Plitvice. I’ve been to both and they are just breathtaking. So many beautiful sights, so peaceful and serene. They are my favourite places to visit and I would love to go there more often if I get the chance (*˘︶˘*).｡.:*♡

10. most enjoyable swear word in your native language?

Ok, this is a hard one cause… Croatians like to swear… a lot… and they get very creative at it XD

8. do you get confused with other nationalities? if so, which ones and by whom?

I do! Different ones actually. Almost everyone thinks I’m Russian since my language sounds a little like theirs. Though once I even got mistaken for a German while in Amsterdam XD

13. does your country (or family) have any specific superstitions or traditions that might seem strange to outsiders?

Ok I answered this once already with the dreaded draft but I just love it so much I’m gonna answer it again XD

Another kind of tradition thing here is drinking coffee, it’s a very important part of Croatian culture and is taken very seriously. Family goes out for coffee, friends, acquaintances, business partners, clients etc. Friendships are made over coffee, business deals as well. And it happens all the time. You can walk through the city center in the middle of the day and the cafes will be packed full. 

When you want to socialise with someone here you ask “Want to grab a coffee?” and no one will tell you no :)

16. which stereotype about your country you hate the most and which one you somewhat agree with?

Ok I cheated a bit and looked around for what the stereotypes are for Croats in other countries and I found this “all Croats as being sly, crafty, untrustworthy people” and those I would say I really hate case we are no more that than any other country out there :/
