Could you tell a bit backstage information please? UwU I'm interested in how do you pose the skellies. I guess there are some positions where they'd fall over? How do you manage those? Was there any where you just couldn't get them stay in pose and you needed to change the scene? Thx :)
Hi! Thank you for the ask! This was really fun to answer X3
You guessed right, there are quite a few positions that the skeles fall over when I put them in cause their centre of gravity is not the best given their size and bulky clothes XD
For example, any of the poses where one of them is walking. The skeles would fall over with one foot up, or I would need 10 min to get their balance right so they don't just tip over. Or when they need to be close to each other, their bulky clothes get in the way and they can't get close enough for what I need (hugs or smooching for example UwU)
So I have a few tricks to help me out with poses like that:
I hold them in the position off-screen so you can't see my hands - this is usually for when their clothes get in the way and I need to press them closer, but it’s also a bad option most of the time since I'm limiting what you see in the frame (usually shoulders up) and it's hard to take pics like that (one of my hands is full XD)
Another is using Pattex which is a type of adhesive that you can place and remove without much issue and it's strong enough to stick the skeles to a spot - this is when they are walking or just standing, pretty much always, because even when I can get them to stand without it, it takes a while to balance them and when I need to take more than 100 pictures in one day (all pictures in one chapter)... well let’s just say time is money UwU
Props... just props - like a book, or something to keep a pose that just won't cooperate. I use this rarely for when some pose just doesn't wanna cooperate cause gravity is mean >.>
Hope this answers it! Let me know if you have more questions :D
