Hello I'm working on my submission form for the digital exchange, but what's the difference between the levels for this particular exchange. I feel like you've touched on it in the form but I'm still not entirely sure what the difference is between the different levels.
No problem!
Level One: low-budget physical gift level. Your gift should cost between $5-25, not including shipping.
Level Two: bigger-budget physical gift level. Your gift should cost between $25-50, not including shipping.
Level Three: all-digital. This includes but is not limited to desktop backgrounds, gifsets, fanfiction, digital fanart, banners, AMVs, use your imagination!
The time difference is slightly different for the digital level because it involves a significant time commitment. (I write fanfiction, and it takes me about a week to do ten pages--but that’s only counting time I’m actually writing, not the time I need to edit, research, or do real-life stuff.) This ensures that during a very busy time of year, people have time to actually work on these gifts.
There’s also a potential “crossover,” and the way this works is this. Let’s say I have someone on the physical exchange--let’s call her Jane, for clarity’s sake--who really loves Galaxia, and I also have 11 physical entrants. By the time I’ve matched ten of them, I have absolutely nobody left who’s into the Stars season. But, I have a fanfiction author named Lynn who indicated that she really loves Stars, and Jane and Lynn both said on their forms that they’re willing to do crossover. So Jane will send a physical gift, and receive a fanfiction; Lynn will gift a fanfiction, and receive a digital gift.
