Have you ever been bungee jumping?
My yankee soul thinks two things are stupid:Ā
A. Jumping off of things that truly do not need to be jumped off of,Ā
andĀ
B. paying for A.

If you were a super hero what powers would you have, and what would your hero name be, and what outfit would you wear?
Sometimes, I think about the pain that people carry, and how it makes some people angry and bitter, and some people guarded and fearful, and some people cold and callous, and some people kind and compassionate.
I think, sometimes, of being able to see that, of being able to take it away. Ā Like tugging on the one thread that causes a piece of fabric to bunch and twist, and letting it smooth itself out.
To take the pain out of people, and see if that makes them better, makes them stronger, makes them braver, makes them kinder.
I toyed with that briefly in the wingfic, where Tony can see the model in Steveās art class is in pain, and he doesnāt know why, he doesnāt even care why. Ā He just... Ā Takes away that bit of pain, frees her from that one burden. Ā
I think that some people wonāt change, even if their life is perfect, and some people honor their pain and know that itās part of who they are, part of what makes them who they are.
but sometimes, I wonder what weād be like, with just a little less.
And in a less serious note, once I came up with an X-Men for a RP game and his mutant ability was to know what the perfect meal was for any person at any time so he had this weird little restaurant where youād go in and youād pay him whatever he charged, and he would give you, a meal, the meal, THE meal that you needed, that you wanted, that you didnāt even know you craved, right until it was placed in front of you. Ā Thatād be cool, too. 8)
What does DJ think of coffee?
Heās snuck a few sips here and there and would like to get his hands on more, but Steve has made it clear that whoever caffinates the kid gets to watch the kid until he crashes. Ā
Tony swears heāll switch to decaf before he goes through that again.
silverblaze85 replied to your post āthe state of things at my house: Parker is officially worm-free. Wash...ā
The very first line made me think of Parker from Leverage, and I was VERY confused, but then went "Ehhhh, it's Parker....."
Naming this dog Parker was the worst idea. Because heās decided to live up to the name. The amount of times weāve saidĀ āPARKER OFF THE TABLEā is astounding.
Do Furbro and Clint ever cross paths in the vents?
As far as Furbroās concerned, Clintās the crosstown express. Ā Itās not like he WANTS a ride, but if one happens to be passing him at a vent junction, heās probably going to jump aboard and see where it takes him.
He rides most of the Avengers this way. Ā Except Bruce. Ā He knows not to startle Bruce.
HE LEARNED THAT LESSON PRETTY DAMN QUICK.

I saw your tags on the Friendship Collars. That one I don't know, but I just ordered a "bracelet" (tiny collar) from Southern Canine Creations (I've got my medical information on a dog tag, this way I can wear it), and they were asking if it was part of a friendship collar. :) If you're into geeky, there's an Etsy shop that does some really cool collars. And Lupine Pets has some designs in all 3 widths, so that may be an option too! (And they have the guarantee as well!)
Itās possible I have looked into such things before. *coughs* Iāll check out Lupine Pets. Rory needs a new harness and leash, heās pretty rough on those things. Iāve seen lots of neat shops on Etsy that will make custom collars and such for you, though I remember the collar styles and not the shop names. Whoops. Itās also possible that I almost ordered a red cat collar once to wear as a bracelet because of reasons.Ā
I'm about to do half-squares for a quilt, and I'm finding so much contradicting information! Some say to make the squares an inch bigger prior to sewing and cutting, others say make them the same size and sew and cut, others say to make a half-inch bigger, cut then sew.... I'm so lost! Can you advise? (It's been many, many, many years since I've done half-squares, sadly)
Half Square Triangles, I presume?
I tend to use the rule of ā1 inch larger unfinished square, draw a line down the middle of one square, set it on another, sew a ¼ inch seam either side of the line, cut on the line, iron seam open, trim square down to finished square sizeā method.
That can be best described here at Blossom Heart Quilts, who is someone I know through the quilting world and her word is good.
Personally, I would ignore her use of 3/8ths inches and 7/8ths inches, because aināt no-one got time for that kind of precision. Honestly, just round it up in the raw fabric and trim it down in the finished square.
Itās best to find what works for you as a sewer, and how you sew. Iām a casual ādash-them-all-off now and trim-them-all-down laterā kind of sewer, but other sewists prefer to be precise from the get-go.
I'm sure you're aware, but if you like mint and chocolate, and have a green-ish thumb, there is a hybrid of mint that tastes like mint-chocolate! :D It's like plucking off tiny scoops of mint-chocolate-chip ice cream, or itty-bitty york patties. :)
This is amazing and something I want to try out right now!
