Tickle monster concept :)
I really, really like the concept of a tickle monster- but i sort of wanted to put my own spin on it, as i find a lot of tickle monster tropes have already been used- so I created Silta and Pet!
Silta feeds on laughter, which is gauged by his glowing tail rings, but to the point where he’d actually die if he were to run out of glow. So, naturally, expecting every ‘hunt’ (ambushing unsuspecting individuals who stray too far off the path) to end in a 100% success rate is far too risky. Therefore- he gets himself a pet!
Pet lives with Silta as his food source, free to roam the den and live life as best he can. I guess you could call him a domestic prisoner? Silta cares about him in his own warped way, making sure he’s fed and clean (I’m thinking a tickly grooming scene would be fun), even setting up a room for him with his limited human knowledge.
Pet essentially just exists to be tickled, but his quality of life isn’t abysmal. Silta thinks everything about him is hilarious, he’s uninterested in humans for the most part but heavily endeared with Pet, and although the feedings themselves can be pretty intense Pet is never subjected to real harm or misery. Yippee! -------------------------------------------------
