“Not really random if your train of thought managed to lead you to the here and now.” Starting off with a bit of not-snarking. Real good start there.

“I see things in a grayscale. There is no true good or bad. It is all a matter of perspective. If I happened to give a cube to someone you didn’t like, would you say I’m helping out the ‘bad’ or am I just being friendly and nice?

“A more encompassing example could be my view on Unicron, yes? If you even believe in him, but the point is slightly moot. Unicron is the Chaos Bringer, but he is also a mech that used to keep the universe ‘clean’ in a sense. Removes old planets, debris, and in turn it clears the universe to let it become anew in the end.

“Otherwise they would be left to rot with no purpose, but with Unicron, they are turned into food and energy. And that energy keeps him going. As it runs out however, there is also ‘stardust’ expelled from the process. So perhaps in a couple more million, billion, or trillions of years, that stardust will reform into something new. Good or bad, but it is the universe.

“As for myself. . . Could not the creation of an entire race be viewed as both good and bad? I’m responsible for giving a whole race life. I allowed them to have free will. And what do they do with it? Bicker and fight. Destroy each other and my shell. Poison their very planet and Core.

“This is bad, no? Then twist it around to see the good. Friendships grow. Love bloom. A new race to explore the universe with a fresh view. Alliances made with new alien species.

“I see the good and the bad. Sometimes I weigh which shade it may go. Other times I see someone that needs my help. It matters not whether someone may view this as good or bad. My spark sees trouble and I respond.

6. Is your muse looking for a long term relationship? Are they in one? What do they think of marriage and binding themselves to someone?

Blurr was in one very recently, yes. He was rather invested in it. Unfortunately, the mech is gone and with him went Blurr’s last chance. No, he’s not looking for a relationship. He thinks marriage and binding himself to someone is both a joke and impossible. No one would be stupid enough to make that mistake and he believes no one would ever love him that much to do it. This is mostly because Blurr’s belief in love has been slaughtered- he no longer thinks he’ll ever be in love or happy. And he doesn’t care. But, he does.

11. What are your muse’s thoughts on race? Are they biased/racist? Are they aware of discrimination; do they participate in it or do they ignore it? Are they discriminated against?

Well, for Blurr, race isn’t something he even registers right away. You are what you are in his optic. Autobots and Decepticons? Yes, he’ll most likely look at a Decepticon with disgust but only if it is a Decepticon very much like the ones in his own verse. But, overall, he doesn’t care. He’ll be snide and nasty to everyone- it doesn’t mater who you are. He is aware of discrimination and often gets it. After all, he’s an Autobot from a universe where they act more like Decepticons. People don’t always agree with his actions or methods ( and often disagree with him in general and avoid him due to his state of being). He’s learned to assume that everyone hates him. That way, he’s genuinely surprised when someone does like him.

12. Is the way your muse sees themselves similar to how others see them or is it (very) different, due to mental illness/keeping secrets/etc.?

People call Blurr a monster, a villain, a disgusting piece of trash- he believes he is all of these things. When someone turns to him and screams you’re a monster-! he’ll just laugh and agree. Because he believes he is one. Even though he knows a lot of things aren’t his fault, he accepts the role as a bad guy, a villain, a monster. Because no one expects anything better from him. No one calls him anything different. He thinks he’s worth absolutely nothing to anyone and he pretty much thinks he knows it.

Now, when you have people like Drift? It’s different. Blurr’s view on himself is different than that of his friends. His friends will tell him he is worth something. He doesn’t agree with them. They tell him he looks good. He doesn’t believe them. This is mostly due to his past damage from Velocity, who was the first to shove his self esteem down and bury it deep.

There was some sort of lurking, hulking mech standing sentinel at the gates and Shrapnel, beleaguered as he was, couldn’t find it in himself to care much. So he aimed his hobbling path towards the blurred figure until his edges sharpened and Shrapnel could look up at his face.
