It was always strange being alone for so long, in Hell as much as he loathed it, he was never more than a few feet from someone. Whether that be prey or someone he actually enjoyed speaking to, it didn't matter. There was still someone. Price had work. Work that didn't involve or need a fallen angel tracking blood across the floor behind him. Gabriel should be used to that. Him sitting in a quiet home where sometimes Laswell paid him a visit when Price was gone for months. He often felt like a dog waiting for it's master. Anxiously awaiting the sound of the door opening so he could be kissed and held.
Maybe that's why he felt so desperate as he kissed him deeply. Half bent over him on the couch guiding Price's hands to feel up his thighs under his skirt. Gabriel panted against his lips as he pulled away to catch his breath. Price hadn't even been back a day and yet here he was. The fallen angel holding his face in his claws while he practically humped his leg as he tried to keep his composure. Maybe he just wanted to be bred and claimed, reminded of who he belonged to, but fuck โ he just wanted to be touched.
"I missed you." Gabriel let out a breathy chuckle moving to kiss his neck, "Did you think of me while you were away?"

Price was never one for gentleness, nor soft words of affirmation his way of showing care was through physical touch and acts of service.
He'd been around Gabriel for long enough to actually give a fuck about the Fallen Angel, sure he was mostly using Gabriel as a weapon but...he deserved something nice for once, something unexpected even.
Price would walk to Gabriel, no words yet exchanged as he shrugged off his coat and placed it over Gabriel murming something about not wanting him to get cold, he would pause a moment more before grabbing Gabriel's chin and placing a deliberate kiss at the corner of his mouth
"Gotta make sure you wont try to eat me if I kiss you properly"
Gabriel spent most of his days wandering listlessly through Price's house, more of a ghost than an actual angel. Apathetic, waiting on his next meal to feel somewhat normal just to repeat the cycle a few hours later when the hunger would inevitably come back worse than it was before. For now, he was curled up on the couch in one of his oversized sweaters with his tail curled around his feet not even really paying attention to what was on. His claws tugged at the ends of his sleeves, trying to rub out the old bloodstains from the white knit even if he knew it was impossible. He often wondered if Price was mad about it or the way some part of him always seemed to bleed.
The fallen angel always tried his hardest to clean up after himself, but... Gabriel's head lifted as soon as he heard the door close, sitting up on his knees he turned around placing his hands on the back of the couch eagerly awaiting Price's return. The jacket was expected, he hugged it tight around him taking in the other man's scent. He was about to sit back down before the other man grabbed his chin and... kissed him? Gabriel's face flushed, eyes widening for a moment as the fingers on the wings that framed his face curled.
"Ahโ" He chuckled, "You know I'd never eat you, come here." He reaches out to pull Price down to kiss him properly practically purring. His tail raised high in the air as he pulled back to stare at him with all the affection in the world.

๐ซโ A memory of a friend โ Michael
Communal bathing was normal in Heaven. The gardens of Heaven had many places where warm water fed, natural springs to ease the body and clear the mind. Michael often found himself visiting one of the more secluded springs. A place of quiet to relax with a warm cloth over his face and his wings spread where he wasn't getting in anyone's way. He could almost fall asleep like that. Especially after a long day of being on his feet. Sometimes he could feel himself drift...
A shift in the water made his eyes flutter open as he removed the towel from his face. Gabriel smiled at him as he slipped into the chest high water, but otherwise paid him no mind. Instead he rested his arms against the marble steps, closed eyes turned towards the sun as his wings opened catching what it could of the warm rays. God's messenger. One of the few angels who actually interacted with The Father's failed experiment, though he rarely went down after humanity abandoned the Father's word.
"Did you just get back from Earth?" Michael asked closing his wings some to make more room.
"Huh?" Gabriel blinked his eyes open looking to him as he let his arms slip back into the water, "Oh. Yeah, but it was more of the same. Either they think I'm a creature pretending to be an angel thus I'm a threat or they preach to the masses that they're a prophet and no one believes them. Take a guess which it was this time."
"Creature?"
"Precisely." Gabriel waded over moving to preen Michael's wings, "The Father said they're a lost cause, I wonder if he'll just scrap them and start over."
"Wouldn't surprise me. I think you're the only one in Heaven aside from Lucifer that had faith in them."
"Yeah, but he's kindness incarnate. I just thought "Surely they can't be that stupid" and here we are."
They both laughed knowing Lucifer would have a fit if he heard them speaking about humanity that way. It was one of the good memories he had when things were simple. Back before Heaven became vain, before Gabriel became a fighter and before Lucifer was cast out. It was so much... simpler.

Heaven was in an uproar, fear overwhelming the masses and as much as he and the other archangels tried to keep the peace. It wasn't enough. One small scuffle and he was sure things would break into an all out war and that fear surely didn't help anything. He was God's Will, many looked to him for guidance, but he wasn't even sure what to say about anything that happened. "The People's Council Of Heaven" was a small group at first, quickly gaining popularity as options dwindled, they were convincing in their arguments. Passionate in their preaches and more importantly: They made themselves seem like they only option any of them had.
So... he cast his vote for them following Michael's lead.

Michael was used to Alice sleeping under his wings especially once the sun started to go down and he was finishing up his work to meet up with the other archangels and catch up. Heaven was always busy. Though it never liked to interact with humanity much, things still had to be done. God's failed experiment and sudden departure didn't mean time stopped. He shifted stacking his papers as he retracted his wings giving Alice a tiny nudge to wake her.
"It's time to go now."
He paused almost frowning when she jokingly asked for a bed time kiss. He sighs, but leans down kissing the top of her head. No emotion behind it. Not even platonic affection. More just playing into her banter instead.
Alice always came around Michael's office this time , either to ask for something to do or to ramble about something cool she read in one of the many books. But she hadn't come not even a sliver of her voice was echoing down the halls insulating she was talking to another or something just dead silence
The matter of the fact was something happened. Though a awful fighter herself and limited knowledge on that of Hell and Heavens and her sometimes generally friendly behaviours she didn't know what'd be considered friend or foe.
The spot where Alice clearly was ; was a mess a red mist splattered across and the feint bits of her favored earrings merely on the floor.
She was gone
Dead.
There was no laughter in the halls, there was no bat curling against him just
Utter
Silence.
Michael had honestly just assumed she was off with The Powers or The Cherubs, his disciples usually took care of the grand library while he worked. Studying, praying, discussing detailed strategies to hand down to the more combat prone disciples for training exercises. Seeing what worked, seeing what didn't. The usual things that kept his domain of Heaven running. Phanuel took care of the tree of life, Raphael made sure Heaven's defenses were always fortified, Gabriel... his mind wandered off trying not to think about it. Heaven ran in the same cycle of violence it could never seem to escape.
The archangel peered out the window. Sundown. Alice still hadn't shown up, he sighed standing up and stretching. He better go look for her, make sure she didn't get into trouble. First he checked with his disciples, just as expected they were putting away books returned to the library to prepare for the next day. Alice hadn't been with them all day. He stepped outside the library making his way to the dinner hall, she wasn't with the cherubs either. Hm. He pushed away the worry that built within him and left for the training fields to find The Powers.
"Bellum. Have you seen Alice today?"
"No, sir. Is something wrong?"
"There might be, come."
If he had to go into Hell, he might as well bring one of the powers to prove themselves. Get actual experience in the depths of the beast. Michael had to hide his disgust as he floated above the ground, Hell's wet, fleshy interior never failed to make him want to gag. The gnashing of teeth didn't help. He still smelled gunpowder in the air. Machines. Horrific things, testaments to humanity's own arrogance and cruelty. Why would Alice even go down here? Or at least he was hoping to find evidence she didn't. He had warned her about this place and it's dangers. If she had wound up in Violence or Fraud, he'd probably never findโ
"Sir!" Bellum called beckoning the archangel over, "I found something."
A simple red smear on the ground, blood mixed with earrings Michael was all too familiar with. Fuck. Michael was barely holding together when he heard Bellum speak.
"Maybe shes still alive... just injured? I-I can keep searching."
"What's the point, we both know what did this."
"S-Sorryโ"
"Isn't it your job to keep the denizens of Heaven safe? You didn't think to tell me when she came down here?"
"Sir, I didn't know she came down here. I'm notโ"
Michael glared causing the power to bow his head in shame holding his arm close to it's chest, "If only your mentor hadn't gone and purposely left these things alive we wouldn't be in this position, now I have to clean up both of your messes. You're both useless." he sighs waving his hand dismissively regretting the words as soon as they fell off his tongue, "Go back. Tell Raphael and Phanuel where I am and that I'll be late."
Bellum left without a word, teleporting back to do as he was told and leave the archangel in peace or at least give him space until he calmed down.
Michael knelt down on Hell's floors picking up what bits of the earrings he could find and he wept.
