Attended a talk at the CMHR titled The Sikh Gurus & Human Rights: 21st century Canada. Dr. Harinder Singh from the Sikhri organization in the US was the very enlightening and amazing speaker. He said that the Sikhs framework on Human Rights is ONENESS. “How can we become protectors of the voiceless people”. He said peace could not be guaranteed without a guarantee of people’s basic human Rights. He urged the Sikhs to become allies to the causes of the underprivileged and to work on projects that would change society for the better.
