“Oh,” she sighed.

“Perhaps I can help you,” Cecil offered, hearing the disappointment in her voice.

“I um,” she licked her lips “never mind. It’s not important.” 

“If you’re sure,” Cecil said.

“It’s just I wanted to tell him about what we talked about,” Jolene said. “I guess I’ll just have to wait until he’s back.”

“The offer still stands if you want to talk,” Cecil said before going back into the kitchen.

It took Ariella a couple of seconds to realize what was happening. Rylee was kissing her! She closed her eyes, grasped his face and kissed him back. His soft lips made her feel like she was melting. His hands slowly ran down her body as he deepened the kiss. Rylee felt as if he was on cloud nine and he didn’t want to pull away but knew that he had to.

Rylee pulled his lips away and pressed his forehead against Ariella’s. “I’m sorry for the surprise kiss. It’s something that I wanted to do for a while but never had the courage to.”

Ariella smiled. “It’s okay.”

“Ari, I like you a lot. I have liked you ever since I met you last year. That moment that we met I thought I was never going to see you again but when I found out that you went to my school, I don’t know. It felt like it was destiny. Getting to know you throughout this year made me realize you’re such a sweet, gorgeous, smart girl and I would like to be your boyfriend.”

Ariella looked at him with a stunned look on her face. “You’re serious right?”

“Very.”

Ariella wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him passionately. He immediately wrapped his arms around her waist. Rylee didn’t know what this meant but he hoped that this meant a yes.

Ariella pulled away from his lips and smiled. “I wouldn’t want anything more than you being my boyfriend.”

Rylee smiled before kissing Ariella again. He couldn’t believe that he finally got her to be his.
