With how Tough Love's sypnosis talks about Eclipsa and Moon bringing Meteora to Mewni "peacefully," it seems like there will be at least SOME calm before things go down badly in what appears to be a fight between Moon and Meteora, so what are your thoughts on how that could happen? For me, it kind of depends on the outcome of the trial and who was decided to have the "real' right to rule" (I'm just using it as setup for my predictions, not as a statement on what defines the right to rule) (1/8)
If the right to rule falls to Moon, then (amongst other possible factors like the rule about not becoming queen if one cuts off a mermaidâs tail also applying to breaking off a Pony Headâs horn), understandably, the two of them would fight, with a chance of Eclipsa either turning out to be evil and betraying Moon OR Eclipsa trying to stop the two of them from fighting/at least prevent Moon from hurting her daughter, which could cause Moon to get distracted and let Meteora sneak in a hit. (2/8)On the other hand, and this is the outcome I kind of see having a greater chance of happening, it could be possible that the right to rule falls (back) to Eclipsa and thus Meteora by extension, being what allows the former and Moon to bring the latter back to Mewni âpeacefully.â However, with that said, the person that I think might set Meteora herself isnât Moon, but rather Eclipsa herself. I say this because the last time Eclipsa ever saw her daughter was as an innocent babe over (3/8)300 years ago, and over that time, Meteora had grown and become someone Eclipsa would basically have little to no knowledge on who she is and what sheâs like now like she would with a stranger. She wouldnât know her personality, likes and dislikes, and what could accidentally set Meteora off. And with how Eclipsa abandoned her post as queen of Mewni for love in the past already, she could very well decline the throne so that she and her daughter could be able to get to know each other. (4/8)OR, barring that, thereâs an even more likely (to me at the very least) scenario that could happen, and that is that Eclipsa, not knowing who Meteora is anymore but eventually seeing what sheâs become (especially the âmassive destructionâ from the sypnosis), might decide to tell Meteora that she doesnât exactly think that Meteora would or should have the right to rule Mewni, if at least not for the current and foreseeable future that is, because of what sheâs done. After all, one of the (5/8)most common interpretations of the phrase âtough loveâ is that it refers to a parent disciplining their child for their own good. And I think we all have a pretty good idea of what Meteoraâs response to hearing Eclipsa say would be like that given how easily she turned on even her closest ally (poor Gemini. Maybe someone could get him a spare heart from that deactivated drone in that room St Olga was in). After this, for Moon to be put out of commission as implied by the finale sypnosi(s?) (6/8)either Meteora transfers her anger to Moon after Moon tries to protect Eclipsa and Eclipsa takes a hit for Moon in the fight, which could cause Meteora to go off the deep end and âblameâ Moon for what happened while wanting to make her suffer, OR it could be the other way around and Moon takes the brunt of a hit meant for Eclipsa which incapacitates her, but Meteora overlooks finishing off Moon to focus on her mother. I mean, Eclipsa isnât mentioned in either Divide or Conquerâs sypnosis, (7/8)so either sheâs on Meteoraâs side and Daron didnât want to spoil it, or SOMETHING happened for Eclipsa to have been taken out of the picture when youâd expect her to be a rather prominent character in everything regarding how Star is going out to fight her daughter. Of course, itâs all entirely possible that none of this will happen and that Daron has something else in mind, but I still want to know what you think of both this and what might happen this weekend. And sorry about the length. (8/8)
This is a very good and complete analysis, based on what little we know from the synopses and about the characters! Obviously something completely different could happen as well, but I think this captures the generic feeling at least some of the events might have!
