been giving us for almost 4 years, and somehow with both Tomstar and Kellco being a thing ( not necessarily because I hate them, but they clearly not have the same build up or strong foundation that Starco has) I really hope to believe that even though the episode is not going at the end say Starco is canon now, it would do something that gives up hope that they aren't going to just throw all that away and indicate a bright future for Starco, but who knows. I understand all too well. There are a lot of things I could write, but instead I’m just going to post what Daron has painted for the Nucleus exhibition taking place in two weeks. Let’s all look at it for the next week to find strength and peace of mind.

Star: 15 as of Stump Day

Marco: 15 as of Lava Lake Beach

Tom: weirdly enough there’s no reference to his age, even among tweets by the crew as far as I could find, but according to Star in the Book Of Spells he’s “close to her age”, so no 100 years old teenage looking demons here. This is not Twilight. Or an anime. Likely 15 or 16.

Pony Head: according to an old tweet by Daron she’s one year older than Star, so she’d be 16 or close to 16

Moon: I’d say in her early mid 40s

River: looks older than Moon at times, especially in the close ups in Camping Trip (likely for comedic effect), but we know they have the same age, so he’s probably in his early mid 40s as well. Or 17 felled stags according to the Johansens’ calendar

Angie: 40

Rafael: 42

Eclipsa: probably younger than Moon since she became Queen at an early age and Meteora was just a baby when she was crystallized. I’d say early 30s.

Ludo: even if in some episodes he looks like a old man he’s probably around 30, since his parents are still alive, he has several older brothers, and Dennis looks like a late teen but old enough to remember him before he left home.

Glossaryck: as old as as the Universe but also not quite as old

Janna, Jackie, Alfonzo, Ferguson and all the other teens from Earth: they were in class with Marco and Star so they’re all 14-15 depending on how early or late in the year their birthday is. 

Margaret Skullnick: 50

Buff Frog: given how fast his kids are developing I wouldn’t be surprised if he turned out to be 8

I have no issues in admitting that Star and Tom, when they aren’t arguing or having moments of tension, feel comfortable around each other, they hug and kiss and do things a couple would do (just those though, it’s a super shallow facade, but that’s another problem). That’s because there is some genuine attraction between the two of them and they can enjoy spending time together.But the kiss in Monster Bash if anything highlighted how doomed their relationship was, after the honeymoon phase from Lint Catcher to Lava Lake Beach. Tom wanted to kiss conventionally and maybe go “dance” in a secluded corner, Star patronized him by responding in a silly way and this lead to arguing and to Tom and Star not seeing their priorities eye to eye for most of the episode (and this is going to drag around until the end of Is Another Mystery).

While it’s true that Marco didn’t react to the voice talking to him until it mentioned the word “lovers”, and jealousy might have played a small role in his actions, keep in mind that these kids are unfathomably dense, and that it took Marco until Lava Lake Beach to even realize that he harbored more than friendship for Star, despite everything they passed together and one confession on her side. So all things considered no, I don’t think Star’s line in Blood Moon Ball curbed Marco’s enthusiasm in any way, it probably just made him reconsider his mistakes, since by overriding Star’s decision he overstepped the boundaries of friendship and became more of a “protector”, a parental figure almost, and that wasn’t obviously a good thing.
