when we were in Makkah my mom wanted to take me shopping for gifts and stuff. i hate shopping. so whenever we went i would be grumbling and stuff. my mom told me, buy some things for your classmates, you never have a chance to show your appreciation for them and here is your chance, and anyways everything's cheaper here. so i went with her, looking for stuff... there were 10-riyal hjabs (about $3) that were really nice but i'd have to find 24, there was a 3-riyal store (less than a dollar) but i didn't know what to get.... i don't know if it was actually hard for me to find stuff or if i was just being lazy. so i just got everyone these date things. and then they did all these amazing things and my mom's telling me i should have bought them stuff to show that i appreciate them, and she's making me feel so guilty. i feel so bad... i'm such a terrible person.
