Today was the last day with my therapist, who I’ve been seeing for three years. You can thank insurance for that. She asked me what I have improved on: ☑️ Setting boundaries with my two children ☑️ Also, boundaries with my family. ☑️ I understood that I might not have my own business full-time. Still, I took care of a baby alone in the middle of a pandemic and finished my MBA program. It is bittersweet saying goodbye to her, but I am proud of myself for my improvements in my life. As with any person, I still have a couple of areas I am still working on, but I am doing just that. I am thankful to have found a great therapist who helped me while dealing with a child with Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD), trying to understand why I had settled in my relationship and was just not happy with my career in general. 🛑 Stop what you’re doing and read this: “Sometimes good things fall apart, so better things could fall together.” I now have a beautiful toddler, starting my coaching business, and I have the people I want in my life. In 1972, women-owned businesses only accounted for 4.6% of all businesses, so progress was definitely made. However, due to the pandemic, there has been some setbacks for women in business. Wow my bday is in 13 days! How is it November already? The year is coming to an end and boy does that seem scary I mean ... February was when we first heard of a potential lockdown and that feels like yesterday right? It’s easy to feel like there’s a race to accomplish it all by year end but remember, when you have that feeling, it’s probably a sign that it’s time to stop and take a break That break will -Give you clarity -Get you off the hamster wheel we sometimes create, so you can look in from outside -Allow you look back in order to move forward Stop focusing on short term goals, write down your 3 months-6 months-1yr goals. Only when you’ve figured those out should you then create short term goals by breaking those down and ensuring those short term goals moves the needle in achieving the long term ones - if it doesn’t, scrap it! So tell me, what’s your long term goal and what are you doing in the short term to achieve it?
