[VIDEO AND PHOTOS TAKEN: SEPTEMBER 24TH, 2024 | Video and Image IDs: A video and two photos of a brown, brown recluse. In the video, a white towel is flipped over to reveal the spider, who proceeds to crawl around, away from the hand of the person filming. In the photos, it's being carried away on a paper card /End IDs.]
A good reason to check towels that have been sitting out for a little bit! Especially in the south! Might be venomous friends in there :P
Uncharismatic Fact of the Day
Spiders can play possum too! Recluse spiders have a number of defense mechanisms for avoiding predators, one of which is curling up its legs and playing dead! They typically only bite as a last resort.
