Wandering Spider (Phoeneutria boliviensis), family Ctenidae, Manu Biological Station, Peru
Though they are reported to have a potent and medically deleterious bite, I had really hoped to find one. I finally found a really bold individual, the final night, on the back of the dining hall! (I gave her a lot of space). It had a leg-spread of about 4.5 in (11.4 cm).
This may be another species of Phoeneutria.
