Summary: Y/n and James relationship broke down after she got into a relationship with Severus Snape, years later Y/n gets a invitation to James and Lily wedding.

James Potter and Y/n Potter use to be insuperable when they where younger.

They told each other everything and did everything together.

Until Hogwarts happened and the two twins where slept up. Y/n in Slytherin and James in Gryffindor.

Even with the house slips they still remained somewhat close until their 5th year when Y/n and Severus fell madly in love with each other.

Which obviously angered James.

“Why him Y/n! You could have anyone and you chose HIM!” He yelled once she told him on the train back home.

“Yes I chose him cause he’s incredibly sweet and nice to me and actually listens to my problems unlike some people.” With saying another word she left to find her boyfriend ending the twins relationship.

Years later Y/n and Severus both became teachers at Hogwarts together. Severus as the Potions Professor and Y/n as the new Care of Magical Creatures Professor.

Life was going well for the couple who were now happily engaged when they got a letter during breakfast one morning.

“Who’s it from darling?” He asked as she read over the letter.

“James and Lily are getting married. We’re invited.” It’s been years since Y/n had even seen James let alone talk to him. They hated each other so why would he invite them to the wedding.

“Are we going to go?” He asked as she held onto his hand nodding slowly.

“Yes, I suppose we should. Not to be rude.”

“Alright then.”

Almost a month had passed and Severus and Y/n were sat at a table next to some of her other family she hadn’t spoke to him years.

Mainly about their own wedding they were planning and their jobs.

“Y/n can I talk to you a minute?” A deep voice said from behind scaring her a little bit, she turned around and saw James looking handsome as ever.

“Sure. I’ll be right back.” She kissed her fiancé cheek before following her brother out of the crowded room.

“You look good.” He said once they where outside.

“You too. Congratulations on the wedding.” The awkwardness was thick in the air. They truly didn’t know what to say to each other.

“Why did you invite us?” She finally spoke up.

“Lily, she wanted us to make a mends.”

“Oh, so you don’t?”

“No! No I do really. I’m sorry I really am. I was being childish. Severus is a good man.”

“Thank you. It means a lot James. I shouldn’t have been so childish either, Are relationship broke down all because of a boy. A boy I love but a boy none the less.”

He nodded and pulled his sister into a hug.

“We need to catch up its been so long since I’ve talked to you.”

“Yeah, yeah we should. Summer vacations aiming up so me and Severus will be free all summer.”

“Summer vacation?” He said letting go of her

“Oh um I’m a professor at Hogwarts now. So is he. We actually got engaged a few months ago.”

“Really! I’ve miss so much.”

“What about you! You and the girl you’ve been chasing after all of school just got married!”

“We’re getting old.” He laughed looking out at the moon.

“Yeah we’re not kids anymore sad to say. Soon enough you’re gonna be having babies and I’m gonna be an aunt! That’s nuts.” She shook her head in disbelief.

“Where did the time go?”

“Time moves so fast, and we’ve been ignoring each other for to long.” They heard the door open and two sets of footsteps come out to the big balcony.

“James! Y/n! There you two are. We saw you leave and never come back I thought you’d of killed each other by now.” Lily laughed as James held her by the waist.

“It’s good to see you both.” She added as Severus kissed Y/n temple.

“I was telling Y/n that we should all catch up sometime.”

“Oh that would be lovely! It’s been so long. There’s so much to tell you both and as much as I want to do that right now it’s time to cut the cakes James, come on.”

“We’ll be right behind you.” They watched the newly weds walk back inside leaving only them.

“How was it?”

“Fine, I think we’re fine now.” She wrapped her arms around his neck as he held her waist.

It has come to my attention that I have not told anyone here the epic tale of Pierre

Sword boy: Demon child’s older brother, my good friend.

Harley: Sword boy and Demon child’s mom, i’m calling her that because she’s obsessed with harley quinn.

It all started on the day of my brother’s birthday.

He decided to invite his two best friends, (wild girl and demon child) and I was allowed to bring a friend for self defense purposes.

Sword boy AND March were both supposed to come, but Sword boy abandoned us so we were on our own, fighting an imbalanced war.

(Small side note: My brother and wild girl regularly try to murder me, it’s a thing, wait until you hear about the last fourth of july!)

luckily it seemed like the children were pretty good at leaving us alone.

that is, until they decided that the shipping had to start.

They think that Sword boy and I make a great couple (we don’t) So they ran around the house yelling the ship name they made up and jumping on top of me.

We escaped to my room and decided we needed a plan. As a backup, backup, backup plan, we had pierre

Key notes about Pierre: His father lives in canada, he has a pet hamster named napoleon, he loves doctor who, he’s a slytherin, and he’s not real.

Again, this was a super backup plan.

but then they kidnapped March and we had to use it right away.

So for several months, (thanks to cooperation from our parents) They thought pierre was real

we even faked a couple dates, several phone calls, and a photo (stock photos are extremely useful) 

Demon child was suspicious, of course, but she always is so no big deal, right?

WRONG

unbeknownst to me, right when I was going to dump pierre because he cheated on me with a fictional dude named tomothy and had to move permanently to Canada, Harley told Demon child that he wasn’t real

I was very scared of the fallout, but luckily covid happened and I haven’t been able to be murdered! (Besides, I think she’s back to her old swordboy/pidgey ways and doesn’t want to murder me anymore)
