What has been their biggest challenge within the city?
sin’s biggest challenge has definitely been learning to cope with his own death and mortality, and his generals’ as well. he hasn’t let on much, but dying messed with him a bit. it’s something he fears more than he’s willing to admit, so to experience it and come back afterward was hard. not only did he die, but he then had to comprehend his own death and the fact that he isn’t as invincible as he likes to pretend.
ja’far’s death hit him hard too. he’s always known ja’far would put his life on the line for his king and his country, but he never imagined him dying outside of those contexts. his death would have been hard on him regardless of the reason, but the way it happened in the city didn’t make it any easier.
