Yamato driving a minivan. Kakashi naps in the passenger side, is generally unhelpful

Naruto, Sakura and Sai are all crammed into the middle row of seats because SOMEONE decided he needs the whole last row to himself so he can sprawl and nap

(This backfires on the way home when the middle row falls asleep and Sasuke tries to talk to Kakashi and just gets "what sorry, i can't hear you, you're so far away" as a response even when he can hear perfectly fine he is sure)

They all fight over the radio control.. Yamato wants to listen to NPR, Kakashi keeps trying to change it to the Mariachi station. Naruto and Sakura want Top 40. Sasuke wants to put in the really cool mix his big bro gave him (he doesn't really Get it, it's weird, who is radiohead i'm ten years old). Sai just wants the music off.

they get to Ninjaworld and everyone splits up immediately

Naruto heads to the food court to get lots of candy, he has some money and he's gonna get so many corn dogs

he heads out after stuffing himself to find Sai on the teacups. that isn't allowed, he takes Sai with him everywhere after that.

Sakura and Yamato end up going into all the like educational exhibits - the history of the park... the reptile house.... Guided tours... 

Sasuke and Kakashi both try to go back to the car to wait for the others, but it's locked so they lounge on the hood of the car until Yamato comes and finds them and makes them go back to the park

Naruto makes Sai go with him on the boat that goes upside-down and ends up throwing up (he throws up on every ride pretty much) (he ate a lot of corn dogs)

They find Sasuke in the butterfly garden and make him go on rides too

(Sasuke doesn't really like intense rides and Naruto gets sick, but they keep daring each other to go on worse and worse rides) 

(Sai doesn't seem to mind either way)

They run into Sakura in the line for the spooky haunted house and all go in together

Sasuke and Naruto are TERRIFIED clinging to each other as the ride ends, Sakura is creeped out, Sai doesn't see what the fuss is

(They run into Yamato as they're coming out of the ride and freak out because his face is very scary in that moment)

They all find Kakashi in the gift shop and make him go along with everyone

It's decided that everyone gets to choose one ride that everyone has to go on before they leave

NO ONE KNOWS if Kakashi and Yamato are dating? they are raising children? they are both "dad", whoever is not being spoken to is "dad", no one wants to ask but it's all Very Mysterious, and ultimately it doesn't matter

(but one day the kids get really curious because even they don't really know so they go to ask Guy, Kakashi's BFF who is also their gym teacher and come out of that conversation convinced Guy and Kakashi are dating)

(they sneak into the parental bedroom to figure it out one day and are faced with a room filled entirely with stuffed dog plushies, books,  and plants. there is no bed, clothes, anything to suggest anybody lives in there. they never speak about it again.)

Itachi is a Super Genius, going to a fancy pants private university at the other side of the country even though he's like fifteen or something

he's a philosophy major. all the akatsuki are also in college and are just as obnoxious as you'd think.

Yamato is a landscaper, he's very particular about his section of the garden (the other section is the Dog Section)

(Yamato and Sasuke want a cat but there's just Too Much Dog already)

(Naruto has a giant pet frog that lives in his room he found in a ditch)(Sakura has a slug farm)(Yamato talks to his plants.)

no one knows what Kakashi does for a living. one time they all follow him secretly and he just goes around and talks to people? is he a superhero? a criminal mastermind? they go to Yamato to ask "why is dad always visiting old dudes, there's this one with a mullet and a nose ring??? he looks dangerous dad is in trouble"

(Kakashi is actually involved with the local government although you wouldn't know it... he's trying to get Jiraiya more involved and also to get the latest romance novel scoops. he ends up convincing Jiraiya to get involved with the school)

(Jiraiya ends up heading an after-school program that Naruto gets REALLY INTO even though his methods are questionable at best)

Tsunade is the school's principle and Sakura is her star student, they are close and Sakura hangs out with her and the school nurse, Shizune all the time

Sai keeps to himself mostly but is the Art Star of the school

Sasuke begrudgingly joins after-school biology tutoring with the really creepy biology teacher.... nobody knows why he is at this school, he creeps everybody out and is weird about snakes

(Once they go to a reptile house and he's there and he keeps trying to get Yamato to intern for him) (Yamato WILL NOT go to parent teacher conferences with Kakashi because he is also creeped out) (Kakashi, once he meets him, is also creeped out) (They convince Sasuke to drop that class)

Sasuke is missing credits because of biology so he has to take a class for kids who need credits that's sort of a general performance / art / music  type of class that's taught by Guy

Also in that class is Rock Lee, Neji, Tenten (who doesn't need it but joined for solidarity reasons) and then Karin, Suigetsu and Juugo who also dropped biology

(Once they have to do a rap in front of the class. much to everyone's surprise, Neji destroys it)

Sakura is bffs with Ino, and the two frequently hang out when Sakura wants to escape Boy Town. sometimes they just kick out everyone form the house and watch UFC on tv for a couple hours to themselves

Yamato, Naruto, Gaara, Sakura and Ino have a sort of informal gardening club that meets up sometimes to work in the garden

Naruto knows everybody, nobody knows how - he's just a friendly kid?

He is totally like, bffs with Itachi. they text and snapchat each other all the time. (this is mostly to annoy Sasuke) 

(once Sasuke steals Naruto's phone to see if he is being talked about and he can't decipher any of the messages, Itachi and Naruto's texting is SO ATROCIOUS it's all abbreviations and smiley faces. He calls in Sakura to help, and then Sai, but neither of them can crack the code either.)
