I cringe so hard when people say that if Season 6 had happened Beast boy and Raven would have gotten together. The creators of the show -namely David Slack, the man most people will point to as proof that there was romantic undertones- stated that it was just meant to be platonic multiple times over. It’s just so delusional and pretty pathetic to be honest when the Robrae, BBStar, Cyrae, etc. shippers can accept their ship status as non-canon, why can’t the BBRae shippers?

I guess we can add the Duffer Brothers to the long list of show creators and showrunners that don’t truly do gay/queer representation. They just pretend to for box ticks and would much prefer a more heteronormative and patriarchal outlook for their show at the end of the day because it won’t turn off the conservative crowds.
Cowards. But it all the more makes me praise the ones that are brave enough to do the opposite and fight like fuck against network censorship and homophobic and misogynistic audiences. And I will keep putting them on a pedestal for it because they deserve to be up there.
