the last of us hbo show was amazing. As someone who has been a fan of this universe since the first game released in 2013 I genuinely would recommend this adaptation to anyone.
That being said I realized how much power video games hold when it comes to creating connections with characters. At least for me personally the connection I have to game Joel and Ellie feels a lot deeper than my connection to show Joel and Ellie.
That’s not because the show failed to build that OR the connection between these characters but rather that actually playing as these characters makes me feel more involved
Anyway all I’m saying is if you loved the show and you have never played the game (and you have the opportunity to do so) you absolutely should. Both are amazing and liking either one more is valid in my opinion but for me personally the game has my heart
except for Bills story and Ellie knowing about Sam and trying to help and Ellie walking out of the „David kitchen“ by herself because holy hell those changes were amazing
