I LOVE Shostakovich 10th symphony so much arghhhh the whole symphony is virtually perfect from beginning to the end and it also has one of the most intense first movements ever. Maybe it's just me because I love E minor but I really do like the first movement in particular. It feels bipolar because one moment you have the whole orchestra playing such sounds of DESPAIR and it send chills down your spine and the next moment there's a flute playing a little whimsical melody G-F#-F#-G-G-F-F-G-G-E-E-G hahahaa
The other movements are already talked about plenty bc of representation of Stalin or wtv but in general it's such a good symphony in which Shostakovich truly showcased his genius ❤️❤️
