It’s a feeling we all know far too well! But Nike’s new ‘Short A Guy’ advert, tells us to do exactly the opposite. Released this July, it’s already making waves on the web, with a star studded cast and a compelling storyline that encourages the viewer to take charge and simply say ‘YES!” when offered the opportunity to get active.
In the ad, viewers follow a young boy, seemingly gifted with athletic talent, who gets invited to play in pick-up games, with a whole host of his sporting heroes. It’s a great way of promoting a healthy lifestyle to kids but also subtly provides a nod to Nike’s over-arching theme of Just Do It. More importantly it works to highlight the brand’s extensive offering of performance optimising equipment and clothing, across multiple sports.
