SAME!! gosh. would love to learn more about pho though

GOSH of course! Pho is like almost impossible to summarize briefly bc he's such a dear oc, but let me see if I can try.

Pho is a character I made for an exalted campaign like maybe five or six years ago now and have cared about ever since. He started out as a grim, scary deathknight who had just defected from his evil master and was out looking for vengeance and peace for his moms ghost (who had gotten forged into an ax, which is a thing that can happen to ghosts in this setting and it isn't pleasant, at the hands of said evil master) By the end of the game he had gone from a depressed, remorseful loner to a guy with a fierce determination against despair and a lot of people he cared about deeply. He ended the game as a Solar (a demigod of the sun, unsurprisingly) after receiving a blessing from the sun god himself, which basically gave him a new lease on life as a fresh-faced non-corpse. He has a lot of feelings about this, both positive and negative, because he doesn't think he deserved it.

During the last stretch of the game, one of the things he got caught up in was a raid on a powerful ghost witch's lair, and unexpectedly ended up leaving with a whole gaggle of children that said ghost witch had spirited away, and he had to learn how to keep them safe and alive for the many months it took to get them to safety, all the while being, at the time, a fanged and clawed ghoul whose very presence could be dangerous to the living. It kind of became established that after the events of the game, his wanderings brough him back to the orphanage they'd been brought to and he stuck around and became a de-facto caretaker there, and the adoptive dad of one in particular (Sachi, another character of mine who I played as a young adult in a briefly-run legacy game). A lot of his postgame arc is about learning how to allow himself to relax into a gentle life, process his trauma, and figure out how to be a dad on the fly.

He's as tall as Danny Devito, he's the kind of dad that would wear a flower print shirt over an Ed Hardy tshirt, and despite being a solar he still dresses like this whenever he actually has to put on regalia or go do actual demigod stuff:

Pinus contorta subsp. contorta (shore pine, beach pine) occurs along the Pacific Coast. This 2-needled pine is highly adaptable and can grow in dunes, bogs and rocky mountains being tolerant of low nutrient conditions and salt-spray. This evergreen tree has an open form with interesting branching patterns, and it can be planted in groups. In seaside locations trees are often sculpted by the wind making them into picturesque shapes.
