So I’m back after a recent hiatus and I couldn’t help but notice I had more followers than when I left. By that logic, I’d be a famous blogger if I just never posted- which is tempting, but popularity can’t buy my silence.
He’s not the better man.
Not that it matters, in terms of shipping Brienne, but if we MUST debate which man is more “deserving” of her love because he’s such a cool guy? I don’t buy into this assumption that Tormund is a better man or a more sympathetic character than Jaime.
He’s less complex than Jaime. He’s much less developed and infinitely less interesting. But he isn’t more sympathetic.
No, Virginia, Jaime is Not a Proud Anti-Hero
Today I'm going to talk about this somehow widespread idea of Jaime having kept quiet about the wildfire plot supposedly for "pride" or "spite," like he's committed a grave moral offense by not divulging the existence of the wildfire caches or, for short, I'll call it the "Jaime Likes Being Called Kingslayer Theory." Here is a list of reasons why this theory of Jaime's motivations is FLAMING HOT GARBAGE.
"Look, we captured this one moment of Jaime standing at the Fingers while Cersei is standing at the Neck! Twinslayer is destiny!”
This shit is cringeworthy. It’s not too late to get off the Valonqarist wagon.Â

Anyone else know someone who claims that there’s a big media conspiracy whenever they’re proven wrong on something. Like my guy maybe it’s not some secret liberal media conspiracy to ruin America, maybe you’re just wrong.
I just spent an hour typing up a detailed explanation as to why Stannis, Dorne, and the wildlings (via Jon) would not help Robb defend against an invading Daenerys if he was sitting the Iron Throne. This is why people don’t want to roleplay with me. Seriously though, if Stannis let Robb take the Iron Throne out from under him because he was more concerned about fighting the White Walkers/Great Other, why would he send off even a small part of his already (comparatively) small, undersupplied army to help the dude who usurped his throne? And I have a feeling that if Jon told the wildlings to march south to fight somebody without it contributing directly to fighting the White Walkers and without him going south with them, they’d tell him to go fuck himself. The invasion is kneeler’s problem and the wildlings aren’t kneelers. Besides, the Targaryens haven’t bothered the Night’s Watch since the reign of Jaehaerys and Alysanne if I remember correctly and, since Dany knows nothing about the conflict at/beyond the Wall, I highly doubt she’d deviate from the norm. Even if Robb stomped out the Lannisters and Cleganes, I doubt Dorne would be motivated enough to raise their troops and go to war for him. Dorne tries to stay neutral for a good reason: they’re simply not big or populous enough to muster the armies necessary to fight like the rest of the Seven Kingdoms. They repeatedly kicked the asses of their enemies because they stayed on the defensive and let the deserts and mountains kill people for them, a la the Russians letting winter kick Hitler’s ass for them in WWII. They’d probably wait for Daenerys to try and attack them before going on the offensive.
