mmmm maybe early s4 when every time Louisa was upset, Shirley would come in and be kind of nice about it. the only one who tried to comfort her, the first one to jump in and defend her against Roddy... and then it all came back when Louisa stood up for Shirley in s5.
the moment I started shipping them outside of canon was when Rosalind said that she thought Shirley would help hide a body with no question and. it got the creative neurons firing. perhaps i will finish that fic someday
