So my only ships are from Adventure series, since I'm most familiar with those. As many of you know, I ship Jou/Taichi. I guess that wouldn't be the most obscure, but it's certainly not one people think about. I also ship Takeru/Koushiro, which is even more obscure. I like the idea of Takeru having a crush on him that kind of comes to a head when Koushiro is a 3rd year in high school and Takeru is a 1st year. But maybe I would call those rarepairs and not necessarily obscure ships.

I do also ship Jou/Taichi/Mimi if that counts?? I don't think a single other person ships that. It's kind of chaotic.

But without a doubt, the most obscure thing I ship is Daisuke/Michael. I'm one of only 2 people who have written for it on AO3. I find it to have a lot of untapped potential and I wish more people thought about Daisuke/Michael. Daichael. Misuke. I have no idea what it should be called lmaoo.

I have OTPs too, but holy moly do I multiship HARD in this fandom. Like I was thinking about how, when I first realized Jou was my muse… that was what suddenly opened my eyes to the possibility that I could enjoy multiple ships with the same character. Jou Kido in general is just perfect for exploring that because he has so much chemistry in so many different ways with Taichi, Sora, Yamato, Koushiro, and Mimi. I feel that way about Daisuke too, since he’s my other favorite character. He just works SO WELL with everyone. Loving those two characters just really changed my perspective on shipping in general

Like today I can talk about Jou and Yamato holding hands across the center console of a car… and tomorrow I can talk about Jou leaning in to give Mimi a kiss across the kitchen island and accidentally knocking over a bag of groceries

Something that I want to note about Volo flirting specifically, is that it’s very light. Kind of airy, as the Libra end of his cusp may so represent. See, he speaks with a lot of intent and vocabulary, without wanting to seem overly affectionate! Love, in the general sense, is something to be expected from the world. Like it’s not a big deal. But he keeps the heavy stuff on lockdown, distancing himself appropriately at all times. He is not a man that is going to scare you off. As well, and this is my opinion, but Volo seems to always consistently have this sensuality about him, this element that’s alluring. Maybe it’s the mystery and playfulness, the light joy with the world. He is a romantic sort, and that shows through even when he’s being distant, so to speak. Just a little of heart showing through, Appropriate. For not ingenuine! But this side of him, is Safe to show, at all times.

Of course, the Scorpio part plays in with love, the deep water. He yearns, he burns, he desires. Volo is an intense man under the facade, he loves deep. Volo is going to love his partner with all the intensity as his love for reaching Arceus. Beyond, even. I want you to know that if there are moments where he longingly reaches for the heavens, motioning to grasp at it- He would do the same for his lover. Hunger and Thirst after them when they aren’t looking, to be godlike is to need them like food and water. They are something to either be equal to a god, or worthy of being kept tenderly and safely, and controlled- Bare minimum too good for obliteration.

My shipping rules are like, lax, but selective? I ship easy, but suppose it’s only a certain way or two; and trust me that the little details matter, such as verse affecting the dynamics and such.

My main onion is to just don’t.....ask for my characters to be OOC. My mooties are fine, and I’d never ask for your muse to be OOC. I may say ‘yes’ or ask early as a mun just for my muse to take...as many replies as it takes to earn their trust.  but it’s one of the reasons I don’t write with the not sfw crowd very often, or spicy content as much as i might like to.  What’s supposed to be plotting turns into requests that are OOC for my muse, make no logical sense, and a lot are also mobile bound and can’t read bios, so they don’t care about the characters. only that it’s het most of the time.

As well, due to Felix’s nature of being a selfie, I don’t. totally. ship the Same™️ things as the canon protags so much. The ‘character’ and dialogue comes from Me, at [insert age], so I consider that character not a minor. Remember this blog was brought on by popular demand, a 22 year old Making Jokes. For example, Ruby!Steven Stone and kid Felix is the No Go to OmegaAlpha! Steven Stone to ORAS!Felix. timelines and funky bullshit.  What with Hisui he squeaks by not being so ‘AU’ due to IRL circumstances; mistaken for Child is something I have real experience with. It’d be a different story if I were like 6ft tall and had a beard or some shit.

Amadeus, by default, does not. He's a bit of a free spirit and neutral, so left to his own devices, it may not have happened at all. Plot wise, his visions simply ensure that it happens. Even then, he's not gunning for someone in particular, but still keeps an eye out for good signs. By default, he's delighted by his descendant's existence, and is of the mind of 'that's so cool, i'll have to keep that in mind and tell someone I want children.' This could be because he simply finds the world, and people, so fascinating that that the context doesn't matter.

Volo does not until he meets his partner. Rather, it's an afterthought, as his goals simply propel him forward, and he's of the mind that none of it matters, flippantly. But, once someone catches his intrigue, it's frustrating to him, and unshakable. There remains this sentiment and emotion of oh, oh, how dare you occupy my mind so much. Said person is either someone who's pleasantly surprised him in this dirty world, or is just too fun to let go....doesn't stop his plan, however. He then starts planning and daydreaming about what he's going to do to them when he makes the new world. What to keep, how to keep them.....Them, but possibly better. If someone's that far deeply ingrained in him, they're going to pass through his judgement, a purgatory, if you will. After all, there must be some good left in the world, if he's willing to remake it, rather than simply off himself in the process.

Felix dreams of romance much to his chagrin. He has a moral repulsion to giving into romance- Refusing to believe that he is not Whole, is Dependent, or that some man takes higher priority than certain things. He watched his own mother neglect him, uproot them both, and writhe through heartbreak like a scared animal. He will not cry, if the unthinkable happens to a partner, life does not stop after them, even if it is a shame.
