After we visited the @maritimesmuseum in Hamburg earlier this month, we were inspired to get my grandfather's old ship models out of the cellar and display them in our home. They are in desperate need of restoration after decades of neglect, hopefully they can be turned into beautiful ship models again. The ship in the middle is the famous Clipper Cutty Sark, which can still be visited in London. The other two ships are unknown to us. On the case of the right ship "Delphin 1878" is inscribed but we don't know if it is a ship that has ever existed or a fantasy model. My fathers side of the family were indeed seamen for a very long time and my great grandfather was the captain of a ship. (Maybe the Delphin?)
