thanks to being locked away for four years ,  kyuu’s physical and emotional growth was stunted ;  they’re a lot smaller and act a lot younger than you’d expect from the typical 13 year old .

their doll is a physical manifestation of their ability similar to elise ,  but obviously less capable of speech and free movement with the exception of laughing and tearing itself apart .

the bandages on the dolls head are a mimicry of DAZAI . 

shiki’s sense of smell is great by human standards ,  but god awful for a kemono .  it’s more difficult for him to pick up on kemono scents ,  so he waits for others to point it out first .

he gets random discomfort and pain in the fingers that akira snapped off when they were frozen and put back together .  he still has no idea what happened .
