Annie sighed when he moved away before walking after him, she took his hand, not slowing down until they were out of the room, away from everyone else and she looked up at him. âJust because we shouldnât doesnât mean we canât,â she told him gently before she stood on her tip toes, her hands resting on his chest as she leaned in and pressed her lips to his.
She had feelings for him she couldnât suppress any longer, not from herself and least of all from him. When she broke the kiss she looked up at him, hoping he would be okay with her bold move, hoping she hadnât been the one who had incorrectly assumed.
Vision had not expected her to follow, and the gentle weight of her hand in his filled him with a faint hope. Of course, that hope had not been enough for him to expect the touch of her lips upon his own, one which drove his thoughts to a complete halt. If he were bolder, he would have drawn her closer, embraced her, but he remained unsure. Perhaps this was a mistake or pity.Â
He allowed himself to indulge the simple desire of covering her hand with his, directly over his heart. It seemed the moment ended all too soon, and his mind slowly recovered, a soft breath pushing past his lips. âThat-- You--â For once, it seemed he--usually so eloquent--was at a loss for words.
