The legendary dolce_piccante, the One Direction fic author of all time, is writing a Hollanov fic. I’m honest to god losing my shit.

Seeing their name in 2026 is blowing my mind. I’ve read Relief Next To Me countless times, along with Escapade and Soft Hands, Fast Feet, Can’t Lose…and literally every other fic they’ve written.

So SHFFCL is a 112k words long Larry fan fiction (obviously) where Harry and Louis are both in the University of Texas at Amarillo, Harry is the captain of their football team and is known by basically every fan of the sport, he knows how to play, he knows how to party, and he knows how to fuck (and is pretty often excising such things, if you know what i mean). He lives in a frat house with the rest of his teammates and is not the type of guy who does school very often.

Louis in the other hand, is Intelligent, focused, independent, a great student AND an athlete, he somehow menages to do work, college, sports, dance and so many things i can't even list here (wish i had this determination and energy honestly). It all begins with an accidental spooning in the morning, with no memories of the night before, and a bet between harry and one of his teammates, for the bet, harry must bed Louis before thanks giving, losing the bet means losing his master bedroom for his teammate (who is a piece of shit).

So Harry starts trying to get Louis to like him enough so they can fuck and be done with it, but young Harold ends up getting to know Louis, seen the amazing person he is and falling for him.

This fic has the most "soft stuff" as young Harold would say, it does have some heavy parts and subjects so you should have a look at the warnings at the beginning but the amount of fluff and sweetness is incredible, this "soft stuff" includes tickle fights, Louis teaching Harry, singing disney songs to each other, late night talks while laying in bed, dancing in the living room, Daredevil and Domino’s Pizza. We must not forget about the hot stuff as well, we get lap dances in the library, making out against a tree, hot dreams about each other, grinding and a full on chapter of pure smut, honestly this one was one of the most well described smut i've ever read, if you were to ask me i'd say that 12k words are one night of smut but yeah.

I need to be honest here, the fic is not perfect, i did get a little confused in some parts because i lost track of what point of view i was reading or didn't noticed when it changed idk, it changed a lot and without warning, but over all, you can understand well enough whats happening, well... it's a fan fiction and it's good enough for me i really like it and definitely recommend if you are looking for a cute kinda cliche snksajdnv just go for it, it's a light quick read and definitely worth it (i finished it in 2 or 3 days).

“May I cut in?” (Harry and Louis dancing together for the first time, H was so nervous :)

“I mean, honestly, Harry. Netflix and chill? I’ve got your vomit inside my nostrils. I’m not really in the mood for you to enter me tonight.”

“Fuck these fucking S’more Frappucinos,” Louis muttered. He glared at Harry. “Ever since you came around, it’s like I’m doomed for them to haunt me the rest of my days.”

“You looked so peaceful. I just wanted to look at you. I always want to look at you and be able to hear your voice. Hear you talking to me.”

I’m so sorry I thought I posted this weeks ago, I just discovered it in my drafts!!!

I can’t say for certain but I think it was Soft Hands, Fast Feet, Can’t Lose (SHFFCL) by Dolce_piccante! I read it quite a long time ago, and it’s been one of my favourites ever since, and then I read Escapade and RNTM off the back of it and around the same time and loved them so much, as does everyone in this fandom I think.

It will depend what kind of fics you usually like but it’s enemies to lovers and soft and sweet and smutty so I’d definitely recommend it, it does have a bet trope also in case you’re not into that.
