Movie costumes not only go on to be used in other films, but during the old studio system, when each studio had its own costume department, costumes were frequently used again for promotional photos.   This black beaded gown, designed by Travilla, was first worn by Jane Russell as Dorothy Shaw in the 1953 film 𝑮𝒆𝒏𝒕𝒍𝒆𝒎𝒆𝒏 𝑷𝒓𝒆𝒇𝒆𝒓 𝑩𝒍𝒐𝒏𝒅𝒆𝒔 and later worn by Sheree North in a publicity photo for the studio.   See more at: Bit.ly/PostEd148
