Redesign/Evolved Viking!Jackson
I actually have this au in my head for a very long time. Where Jack is the grandson of Mildew surprisingly born nine year earlier than the riders. Despite having a horrible grandfather and born in between 2 generations (which is an award time and lead up to Jack doesn't hv any friends from the same age), he's a likable and reliable viking if it's not for the odd personality which set him a bit out of places. Because he's the only one born in his year. The viking doesn't feel like teaching a lone child in the arena will be as effective as a group. So his lessons has been set back to join with the riders, making him the only viking which pass his age and still hasn't received a lesson on 'how to kill a dragon'. When the riders are born, he becomes the official baby sitter in Berk. The kid seems to take a like of him, and he like to take care them. Wherever Jack goes, there would be a group of children holding his hands and follow him. He's a baby problem solver + trouble maker at the same time. When the riders all grow up, he is still the caring brother in their heart and friend as Jack fit easily in their group, probably bc of his youthful face that doesn't make him look any older, if not most of the time he got mistakes as the youngest bc of his look.
