Thoughts on different writing systems? (Aesthetically, practically, what have you.)
I think the Thai and Georgian scripts are the coolest looking writing systems!
Also an incredibly shameful admission: I really struggle with anything but the Roman alphabet. Yes, including Greek. You'd think that having some familiarity with Greek would have helped for Russian. It did not, in part because my brain interprets all of it as all caps, which I struggle to read in Roman script. Truly the brain is mysterious ĀÆ\_(ć)_/ĀÆ

Today at Mass, the final hymn was "God, Whose Purpose is to Kindle," and it is a perfect example of a song that takes no prisoners. (1/5?)
The first stanza: "God, whose purpose is to kindle, now ignite us with your fire; ... Overcome our sinful calmness, stir us with your saving name. [...]"
It was very surprising, in a wonderful way, that this was the final hymn, because it's so rare that a hymn reminds us that we have a duty that we are neglecting.
This song is a great reminder of a big way that I can fail to be a good Catholic and a good human being... and it fits beautifully with the things you post about
