Malachai Daecher by @sheismangoā
Thirty-five year old MalachaiĀ āMalā Daecher is no stranger to trouble.Ā āIāve been in it most of my life,ā he laughs.Ā āIt started after I graduated high school. I remember finding out that everything I thought I knew about my family was a lie. It dropped the bottom out of my life,ā he acknowledges.Ā āI kinda went off the rails, trying to figure out who and what I was. Then I found motorcycles.ā
āMy bike is the pride of my life, second only to my family,ā he says as he gets it out of the garage and starts showing it off.Ā āI swear the club I joined saved my life. It became the family I needed at the time I needed it the most. Iāve found everything I wanted with it,ā he adds, grinning.Ā āI met my wife in it. Iād have never thought that possible at one point and now Iāve got three kids.ā He shakes his head, chuckling.
HIs efforts with his club havenāt gone unnoticed either. Heās recently been elected president of the motorcycle club he belongs to, granting him a small stipend and a large desk.
āItās not enough though. I have a lot of ideas of what to do with the prize money if I win Big Brother,ā he says, his eyes lighting up.Ā āMost of us in the club come from very broken homes. Iād want us to get more involved in helping protect kids and other victims of abuse, you know we already know local and state authorities. It wouldnāt be too much for us to be able to reach out and protect kids that might be afraid of dealing with the law directly.ā
āMost people think bikers are scary, hairy dudes. Well, we can be, but thereās no reason we canāt work to bring positive change - especially on a topic we feel passionately about. Make no mistake, when I walk into that house, Iām going to be walking in to win. I want to see that money go to something good.ā
