Twenty-seven year old Moses Velasquez spends his days as a vet tech for a small clinic in his hometown. “I like animals,” he says. “They’re less problematic than people.”

Moses has a special affinity for cats. “Cats do their own thing, you know? They’re really cool like that. I’ve got two of my own, but if I had my own way, I’d have, like, a dozen of them. They’re great. My orange one, he’s called Kitt and the black one is Chucky. I love them both.”

When asked if he’s going to worry about his cats when he’s in the Big Brother house, Moses replied, “Nah. My friend Kaur is going to look after him. He’s got this dog, but its totally cool with cats. My two have met the dog and they’re all chill. Kaur is the only dude I’d trust to look after my babies. He’s the bassist in our band, The Strange Llamas.”

“I know I can be quiet and I like to stay out of conflict,” Moses admits. “It’s going to be weird going into a house full of strangers. I just hope we can all respect each other’s space. I’m not looking forward to having to try to get along with everybody. I prefer reading and just chilling at home. Still, I have to try, because I know there’s a lot I could do with the prize money. I’ve been thinking about setting up an animal shelter with it, you know?”

...Ingrid has been showing me a lot of movies and television shows.  Most humans believe that the supernatural doesn’t exist, but there are so many forms of entertainment that focus on it! Especially vampires, ugh. It makes me wonder why we don’t tell the humans that we exist. It seems as though they would be welcoming, given how they admire us. The way that they portray magic in these shows and movies is incredible, though.  These “special effects” are a kind of magic all of their own. 

Ingrid is strangely obsessed with a show called Big Brother. It’s nothing but a group of humans who spend their time either arguing or trying to have sex with each other.  I hope this isn’t an accurate representation of humans in general...

Personality etc Andre is very competitive and will take any bet or challenge. BRING IT ON! He’s kind of a sore loser and will throw a tantrum unless he’s given a rematch. Or two.

His favourite pastime is hanging out on the beach, playing beach volley, flexing, and befriending stray dogs. Dogs are his favourite animal (they’re the perfect combination of positive energy and active lifestyle) and he finds cats (and cat lovers) suspicious. They can totally read minds, right?

He hates shirts of all kind (why do they make them too small?) and if the dresscode (and the weather) allows, he’ll be barechested. His body is his moneymaker and he exercises everyday and has a protein-heavy diet. Andre becomes frustrated if he doesn’t get to lift weights or drink protein smoothies regularly.

Andre is currently single and ready to mingle (he’s bisexual) 👀 His longest relationship was three weeks but he’s not committing type anyway. Not yet at least

He likes loves compliments and sometimes fishes for them. But Andre is good at giving compliments, too!

Background Andre’s dad passed away when he was little and he doesn’t remember him. His mother remarried (twice) and had half a dozen kids so Andre has a BIG family. Living with a bunch of big personalities is not new to him and he’s good at solving fights.

He’s been a professional model for almost ten years and loves it. His job takes him all over the world, to new beaches, to new challenges, to new lovers... His career won’t last forever but he has no idea what he’ll do next.

Personality: Normally he’s rather outgoing and charming person, but because of his current situation and the resulting high level of stress he’s being secretive, suspicious and grumpy. 

Background info: Some may ask why a celebrity wants to join the BB cast. The answer is simple: money. Raheem made some bad investments. Like the terrible perfume line with his name on it that nobody cared about. Or opening his own Indian restaurant that happened to be located on a transform fault. 

To avoid public shame and his financial situation being discussed on social media he borrowed money from the wrong people to settle his debts with banks quickly. But those people want their money back and with interest. Raheem is running out of time. He already received some very scary calls about certain parts of his body possibly getting removed if he doesn’t pay back. He would rather not part with his favorite bits, but he doesn’t have the money. Yet. He will do anything to win. His life (and his favorite bits) depend on it.
