Today I read something very interesting in the morning which made me questioning many things about practice, things I have been questioning for some time but today those questions became more clear today. Some times the most difficult thing is to ask the right question... The book is called “Yogini. The power of women in Yoga”, from Janice Gates. I’m not going to enter into details about the book but it captures me the first part of the book where she starts by stating that the yoga we know today has been “taught to men by men through male lineages in India”, as per Janice’s words. Of course through out the book she offers information about old images from Indus Valley and the feminine presence even in the Rig Veda... But what captures me the most is when she explains how not only in yoga but in most spiritual traditions, passed and taught by men, have made us, women, create a conditioning to see this as the norm so we unconsciously look for male figures of authority. This made me taught about my whole life, how important it was to be approved, accepted by my male teachers, and this is reflecting something rooted so deep it was not even possible to acknowledge it. I want to honor today all of my female teachers and friends who have inspired each other through this journey! Let us be more aware and question what fits in our own and very unique nature! At the end we should ask ourselves: is this helping me to become more aware about who I really am beyond the limitations of my own perceptions and conditionings? If the answer is yes, then we might be in the path of freedom. #freedom #moksha #shatki #feminineenergy #yogapractice #yogaisequanimity #luanafarayoga

So many of you ask what performances I do. Well I explain that it is a fusion of all disciplines that I have learned and asI keep evolving you will see more great things from me . Mainly it embraces my feminine and masculine side by showing my strength and my eloquent sexy side which is called #shiva #shatki in #Sanskrit. I learned this when I taught #yoga. ❤️
