Spider Lilies/Chrysalis AU background info post.

I am primarily making this post to take note of all the information @live-let-live and I have plotted together for this AU so far.  I don’t want to forget anything.  This AU will be added to my verses page as well.  All posts that pertain to it will be tagged as #AU. spider lilies.

Canon diverges from when Yosano is saved by Fukuzawa and Ranpo.  In this AU, Mori successfully takes Yosano into the Port Mafia.  She has been assisting him with maintaining his numbers of the Port Mafia ever since.  This result has created an even greater power imbalance between the Port Mafia and every other organization in Yokohama due to the advantages they have in sheer numbers alone.

Oda and Yosano encounter one another during the Dragon’s Head Conflict.  At this point, Yosano is 19 and Oda is 21.  All of the canon events for Oda are the same.  There is only an added event to this timeline where Oda begins to assist Yosano with her work as a medic by using his ability flawless to assess which of the fallen Port Mafia members have already died.  This saves Yosano significant amounts of time in determining who can be saved by her ability and who is already gone.  It also provides her a bit more assurance when under attack during the use of her ability, since Oda will be able to use the tactical skill his ability provides to get them out of sticky situations.

Impressed by this set-up and finding it beneficial to his goal, Mori requests for Oda and Yosano to work together as the primary medical team of the Port Mafia.  Despite Oda having no interest in moving up in the organization’s hierarchy, he ultimately decides to accept this position because it will give him the opportunity to help other people on a micro-scale.
